KE082 Super JFK ➡️ ICN

Fresh out of the paint shop, Korean Air’s A380 Super stoppin by the Big Apple to flex the new color-way. The iconic Pepsi paint will soon be history as part of the merger with Asiana which will be completed 12/17/26. by @matt_jeong

Special guest arrival today as Swiss Airlines A343 makes a rare appearance to JFK.

As these aircrafts are slowly phasing out to retirement, seeing the A343 just makes it that much more special to see. Entering service 22 years ago, these aircrafts made aviation a flying history.

Powered by the CFM56-5C series turbofans, these aircrafts made long haul travel possible back in the days due to the aviation rules requiring 4 engines to travel over the waters. Jus somethin bout these 4 engined planes that makes it so special to see (might be a personal feelin but 🤷‍♂️)

KE082 Super JFK➡️ ICN:

Korean Air’s super jumbo A380 ready for its journey across the Pacific and back home to S. Korea. All I gotta say is man o man is this plane marvelous.

The aircraft powered by Engine Alliance GP7270 turbofan engines (70,000 lbs of thrust per engine) brings elegance and comfort to the long 15 hour journey.

V1…. Rotate.

Asiana Airlines 221 heading home to ICN, South Korea on the state of the art A350-900. Powered by the Rolls-Royce Trent XWB turbo fan engines, the aircraft is made for ultra long range travel (jfk to icn 14+ hours of air time).

Interesting fact: The aircraft’s feature lower altitude pressure and higher humidity, which help lower passenger fatigue and jet lag.

KE086 JFK ➡️ ICN.

Prepping for the long 15 hr journey with some deicing to help with the cold weather. Deicing is a major beneficiary for aircraft’s during cold weather/ temperatures as it helps clean all the frozen contaminants that can be built up on the aircraft. Any safety hazards during the winter season can range from aircraft control issues to aerodynamic malfunctions during takeoff.

One of the few aircraft’s remaining for Korean Airs iconic Pepsi colors, just something bout this color-way that’s never going to be forgotten. Plus the engine start up on the GE-90 is just music to any aviation lovers🤌🤌.

ICN ➡️ JFK

Asiana Airline’s A380 completing its long haul journey from ICN to the Big Apple NYC. Built for maximum passenger comfort and travelin in elegant style. Truly nothin more fascinating than a A380 Super.

The only aircraft in existence to have two full-length decks. The A380 is quieter than smaller jets during takeoff and landing due to the aircraft being designed with noise reduction in mind. Asiana’s 4 engines featured by Rolls Royce’s Trent-900 provide significant economic and environmental benefits.

Copenhagen ➡️ JFK

@flysas completing its 8-hour journey from Denmark with a visit to the Big Apple NYC.

Scandinavians’ freshly painted aircraft (A333 / LNRKR) peacefully touching down on RWY 22L. This aircraft is a special one as it is painted to celebrate Scandinavian’s 80th anniversary as an airline. The Rolls-Royce Trent 700 series engine lookin mightier than ever with this special paint livery.

To many more adventures and memories and a huge congratulations to @flysas on their 80th anniversary.
