Business tips I swear by. 1. Move quickly in business. Don’t wait to be perfect. Speed is everything. Stop worrying about LLCs. Accountants. Contracts. It’s garbage. Get started doing things. 2. Never invest heavily in a business before proving it works. Get gritty. Use your natural assets, skills, network, resources to create opportunities. 3. Never let someone become irreplaceable. This is a ticking time bomb. They will begin to exploit you. 4. Get trusted operations staff as soon as possible. Early stage entrepreneurs need to be spending as much time as possible doing sales and marketing. Money is oxygen in the early days. It’s not everything, but without it you won’t last long. 5. Loyalty is everything. Your staff, your industry partners, your friends, your family. Loyalty is more important than skills. I rather have loyalty than a skilled snake. Don’t be a Jack___. Treat everybody with the upmost respect. 6. Life is stressful. Business is stressful. Success is stressful. I have never worked with a company whos operations weren’t on fire. Get good at solving problems. Don’t think business failures are unique to you. Just get better at tolerating stress. 7. Profit first. Make sure you take money from your business. There’s a delicate balance on how much you reinvest. Build up assets. No customer lasts forever. No business lasts forever. You won’t last forever. 8. Be Authentic. I can tell you how I do it, but it won’t work for you. Find the angle that comes natural to you. You cannot be anybody but yourself over long periods of time. 9. Enforcing your contract is the quickest way to go bankrupt. Work with people that actually mutually benefit from the relationship. 10. Break Rules.Actually I’ll say this bluntly. F_ck the rules. Most rules we follow were made up by somebody else. As long as it’s morally and ethically aligned and you don’t end up in jail, you are probably OK to break the rules. 11. Grow a Network of High Caliber People. There is nothing disengenuous about this. Its accountability and shared interest to see each other succeed. If your network is focused on participating in dumb shit, get new friends. Avoid energy zappers. Now go win. by @matt_metros
My goal has always been to help the young entrepreneur make a business. I’ve wanted this since I was a kid. I feel so exceptionally passionate about this. And I know I can do it better than anybody else. I have helped hundreds of people build incredible businesses. It goes beyond the money for me. Whether it’s staff that needed an opportunity in life or a client who was in a tough position. I solve problems and give people opportunities to build a better life. That is truly my why. And I will relentlessly run after this for the rest of my life. by @matt_metros
Accents now have a price, and a software market has formed around it. Sanas, founded in August 2021, says it has raised more than $100M to change how call center agents sound in real time. Teleperformance, one of the largest call center operators in the world, invested about $13M in Sanas as part of its Series B in February 2025. In March 2026, Krisp launched accent conversion on the listener’s side. In April it added British English output for agents in India, the Philippines, and other offshore hubs. So there is a product whose entire job is to make one person sound like they were raised somewhere else. Here is why it exists. The bias is documented: 1. Lev-Ari and Keysar (2010): American listeners rated the same trivia statements as less true when a heavy accent read them. Native speakers scored 7.5, heavy accents 6.84. 2. Bourdin and colleagues (2024): in four experiments with 1,027 Austrian consumers, a Serbian accent cut how much customers took part in a service. A French accent did not. 3. Grogger, Steinmayr and Winter (NBER): in Germany, a distinctive regional accent lowers wages by an amount the authors compare to the gender wage gap. Now the part to be skeptical about. The vendors report big gains. Krisp lists +15% customer satisfaction, +26% sales conversion and -25% handle time. It gives no baselines. Should companies have to tell customers when an agent’s voice has been converted? Thanks for your time and attention! - Matt by @matt_metros
91% of the worries people have never come true. That is from a Penn State study. 29 people logged their worries for 10 days, then checked what actually happened over the next 30. 91.4% did not happen. Of the 8.6% that did happen: - About 30% turned out better than expected. - About 44% were as bad as expected. - About 26% were worse. And 7 of the 29 people had none of their worries come true at all. It’s a small study, so I wouldn’t build a theory on it. But it fits something I believe. Most of life is mental. - Anxiety - Procrastination - Fear - Stress - Lacking motivation Different names. Same thing. Most of it is self sabotage. And when you truly understand what I am saying, you realize that you are your biggest enemy. Your mind is one of the few things you have control over. You cannot control if you win. You cannot control if you lose. But you can control if you try your very best. Thank you for your time and consideration! - Matt by @matt_metros
In 1901, a law said public schools in the Philippines should teach in English. It said to do it as soon as practicable. So the U.S. sent teachers from America. An official report from that year says more than five hundred sailed on one ship. A 1932 movie-business yearbook says most movies shown there were American. Then, in 2007, a call center called eTelecare told its investors why it chose the Philippines. Two of its reasons were English with an American accent, and people who like American culture. Another company, PeopleSupport, told its investors it moved work to Manila mainly to cut costs. My view, in my experience: an assistant's voice can sound just like an American's, but the work culture differs immensely. So test real work first, not the accent. Do you hire on the accent, language, culture, or test real work? Follow me for more entrepreneurship tips. Sources: Act No. 74 (Philippine Commission, 1901); Atkinson education report 1900-1901; Film Daily Year Book 1932; eTelecare prospectus (SEC, 2007); PeopleSupport prospectus (SEC, 2004). #virtualassistant #callcenter #philippines #outsourcing #entrepreneurship by @matt_metros
Follow up is everything. It shows professionalism. Integrity. Tenacity. Commitment. That you’re not just another vendor. Yes, a few people will block you. That’s normal and expected. But if you skip the follow up, you lose out on an insurmountable number of opportunities. From my experience, it’s the single biggest difference maker in your success as an entrepreneur. Traditional email marketers will tell you to create a 7 step email sequence. I am here to tell you this is old fashioned. You’ll burn out your list if you wear them down with the same messaging. Instead, do this: 1. Set up several email campaigns. Each one focuses on a different offer. If you manage properties, that looks like this: * Free rent analysis * property walkthrough * lease check * compliance check * Winter prep checklist 2. Each email campaign is 1 to 3 emails MAX. 3. Wait [X] days, then move them into the next offer. It gives them time to forget the last pitch. The next offer lands as something new. So what do you take from this? It’s often not what you sell, it’s how you sell it. You probably already have what people want. They just haven’t heard it framed the way that makes them act. So figure out different ways to make people want what you have. Thank you for your time and consideration! - Matt by @matt_metros
My AI reel workflow in 60 seconds. 1. I save reels I like in a folder. 2. I pick a topic. It can be a question, like "How do you know the virtual assistant you interview is the one who does the work?" 3. AI researches it and finds a real case that answers it. Every fact is saved with a link and the exact quote. 4. AI writes the story in 4 sentences. I approve it. 5. AI writes the script and plans a real picture for every line. 6. Other AI agents check it. Can a stranger follow it? Is every claim backed? Does it score 85 or higher? 7. I approve the script. I see the pictures and the words side by side, line by line. 8. Claude finds the real, licensed photos and builds every scene. I approve those too. 9. HeyGen's Video Agent builds the reel: my AI avatar reads the script with the approved pictures above it. 10. Claude checks the video, then adds captions and speeds it up to 1.25x. Thank you for you time and consideration! - Matt by @matt_metros
Everything Has an Equal and Opposite Force Newton's Third Law of Motion. And I'll talk you through how it works. 1. It’s only a scam if you don’t do the work. They buy the gym membership. Wear the gym clothes. Never lift the weights. Then call the gym a scam. Same with the course. Same with the software. Same with the ads. Same with the hire you never trained. 2. You can lose 55 times if you win once. Nobody talks about the failed companies of a billionaire. The guy who got into Facebook stock early also bought 55 other things that turned out to be junk. Nobody remembers those. Fail. Try again. Fail. Try again. 3. Do instantly what others do eventually. That’s the whole definition of brilliant. It has nothing to do with your IQ. You got an idea. Make the plan today. Everyone eventually does the thing. The person who did it first gets called a visionary. They were just early and willing to be wrong. 4. Stress tolerance beats IQ. How far you go is tied to how much stress you can carry. More than IQ. More than almost anything. Put yourself in the seat nobody else wants. You get paid because no one else will sit there. Take the hard client. Take the fire. Take the open role nobody wants to fill. 5. Don’t chase the money. Build the system. Chase the work. Build the system. Build the cash flow. Then the money flows. Think about the next action. You got an idea, do it. You got another idea, do it. So what's the lesson here? Equal and opposite forces. 1. Every action has force. 2. Every inaction has force. Doing nothing is still a move. It just pushes back later. Easy now, pay later. Good times mean something is coming. Success mirrors the suffering. Anything you get without work costs you somewhere else. Only 1% of you reading this will get it. And for that, I have done my job. Thank you for your time and consideration! - Matt by @matt_metros
