Nice still morning walk with my wife. This egret was enjoying the pond near our house.

Hit my weekly AI limit mid-build. Phase 3 of 7. Dead in the water.

The problem? Claude Code was using the most expensive model to write config files and boilerplate. Same model I need for complex logic — wasted on a Dockerfile.

So I built a fix. One command, 60% less usage, faster builds.

The Only Timeline That Matters

The ultimate non-negotiable asset in life isn't capital, but time. 9 years ago was a huge transition, welcoming our daughter into the world, reminding us that we must be present for the most important 'builds' in our lives. A proper dose of perspective.

Yet, when you look back at moments like these—from setting up the nursery to holding that tiny finished product—it’s shocking how quickly things changed.

Yet we all still need a reminder from time to time to keep perspective.

If you've ever felt like time is moving too fast, double-tap this post. Comment with the best piece of advice you’ve ever received about slowing down and enjoying the process.

Who's ready for skiing?

In a city that prides itself on human-powered adventure…
Are we swapping too many pedals for power buttons?

I’ve been seeing more and more electric scooters and e-bikes zipping up the Boulder hills — and now I just spotted a fully electric sit-down scooter that looks like a kid’s push scooter.

I’m all for innovation and making the outdoors more accessible…
But in a town built on grit, sweat, and an “earn the summit” mentality, I can’t help but wonder:

Are we slowly trading the challenge that builds us for the convenience that softens us?

Curious where you land on this one:

Is the rise of electric everything…

A) Helping more people get outside
B) Making us softer
C) Just the natural evolution of transportation
