Up, down and all around… Part II

A few weeks ago, we shared one of two stairwell installations in this beautiful home. Today, another view.

Our client is an engaged collector who has selected a variety of styles and mediums throughout his home.

Open to expanding his collection in new directions, he was an integral part of the creative process.
Stairways and hallways offer wonderful opportunities for art, experienced from different angles and in changing light as we move through the home.

For the lower stairwell, we selected The Latest Craze #2, a 5-foot bronze sculpture by Matt Devine. Working with industrial metals, Matt creates seemingly weightless compositions that bring movement and dimension to a space. The bronze patina will continue to evolve over time.

Continue upstairs toward the daughters’ bedrooms, where a large abstract gestural painting by Ash Andrews, brings color, texture and energy.

Different artists, materials, forms and scale, all coming together in a home that reflects the people who live there.

Another wonderful collaboration with @annie.mandelkern and our client.

Happy Sunday!

20 years ago in 2006! Got to work with the incredible @jonathan.segal and place my art on his gorgeous Union Building in San Diego. We did 4 stainless sculptures on the west facade and one 18’x4’ steel sculpture on the north side. Thank you Jonathan for amazing opportunity and friendship. A fun and tricky installation with @prottertype . Still have my sketches hanging in my office.

Come take a walk through District Gallery! ✨❤️🍂

There’s still time to experience Matt Devine’s Where We Meet before the exhibition closes on October 17! 💫🍂

From striking wall sculptures and pedestal works to a vibrant red aluminum outdoor sculpture, Matt’s work brings movement, balance, and beauty to any art collection. 💫❤️

One of our favorites is Moving As One—an incredible installation of steel barn swallows in flight, complete with a custom installation guide for your own wall- a migration pattern balancing strength and beauty. 💫🪶

Stop in and explore the show before we welcome Hunt Slonem on October 22! 💫❤️
