🌇🤝✨🌌 | 🌏🤝⚙️✨
City of Light | Human‑Centred Innovation

I stand on the South Perth foreshore often - looking across the water toward the skyline, watching the city glow into dusk 🌅

That view has shaped my philosophy more than any textbook or job title ever could.
Perth isn’t just where I live.
It’s where I learned what it means to build, to connect, and to imagine a better tomorrow 🌆✨

My work sits at the intersection of humanity and innovation - the place where empathy meets engineering 🤝⚙️
Where community meets technology 🌐💡
Where understanding becomes the foundation for discovery.

Whether I’m working in safety‑critical systems, autonomy, simulation, communications, or community‑building, the principle is always the same:

⚖️🌌 Harmony Between Humanity and Innovation.

🌅🔍✨ Building on understanding to uncover the discoveries of tomorrow.

I believe in a future shaped not by isolation, but by collaboration 🤝
Not by fear of change, but by curiosity 🔭
Not by nostalgia, but by wisdom 🌱.

🌆✨
We are not forgotten.

🌐✨
We are not isolated.

😴✨
We are not sleepy.

🌅🤝🌌
We are the future we choose to create - together.

My mission is to help build that future - through systems that serve people 🧡, communities that uplift each other 🌱, and technologies that illuminate rather than overshadow ✨

I’m driven by the idea that progress is not just about what we build, but why we build it, and who we build it for.

If you’re working on something that brings people together, strengthens community, or pushes the boundaries of what’s possible - I’d love to connect.

Together, we can turn understanding into innovation, and innovation into light 🌟

Oh Freo.
How I love thee.

You welcomed my family from across the seas, and along the way, you became part of who I am.

My European roots run deep, as does my connection to this place, shaped by generations of people arriving from distant shores, bringing pieces of their old worlds with them.

Their languages.
Their food.
Their traditions.
Their hopes.
Their stories.

All woven, over time, into the colourful, wonderfully unconventional fabric of Freo.

Today, walking across the new Walyalup Bridge for the first time, surrounded by this extraordinary community, I felt that connection.

There was electricity in the air.

For a few beautiful hours, before the traffic begins, the bridge belonged to the people.

A gathering place.
A celebration.
A moment suspended between what was, what is, and what is yet to come.

The old bridge is gone, but not forgotten.

It carried generations across these waters, becoming part of countless journeys, memories and lives.

That's what I love about Freo.

Its rough edges and beautiful imperfections.
Its creativity and character.
Its old buildings and salty air.
Its people and cultures.
Its history, written not only in bricks and stone, but in the lives of those who call this place home.

It remembers where it has been, while somehow always becoming something new.

Past. Present. Future.

All intertwined in this moment.

There are still many bridges ahead.

Places to go.
People to meet.
Stories to discover.
Adventures yet to unfold.

We carry our roots with us.

We keep moving towards the horizon.

And beneath it all, the river keeps flowing.

Oh Freo.
How I love thee ⚓💜

Today was Fire.

Part 3 of the Deep Ecology elemental journey at @kookaburrayoga, and another step deeper into my relationship with the forces that sustain, shape and connect us.

Afterwards, I stopped at @theorganiccircle for a ceremonial cacao ☕🫶

And then I looked up 👀

Earth. Water. Fire. Air. Space.
Five flags hanging above me 🚩

Apparently they had been there for years.
I had simply never noticed them.

That's one of the quiet gifts of paying attention.

The world does not always need to reveal something new.

Sometimes something ancient, ordinary and ever-present simply becomes visible.

In some small way, this moment reflected why @wildfirelegion began.

To rekindle a shared consciousness ☯️

To look beneath the noise, division and troubles humanity has created and remember the deeper things that have always connected us.

🌿 Earth beneath us.
🌊 Water within us.
🔥 Fire transforming us.
💨 Air moving through us.
✨ Space holding us.

Our true potential may not lie in becoming something entirely new.

Perhaps it begins by remembering what we already are.

Took a walk around Lake Jualbup @cityofsubi this afternoon after lunch from @thecleanfoodstore 🥪

Black swans gliding across the water, birds calling through the trees, fountains aerating the lake, children playing, people resting.

Places like this remind me how much thoughtful care matters 🫶

A small urban oasis where nature, community and calm exist in balance ☯️

We need more of this ✨

While out on my wanders I discovered the new & improved Bells Rapids Lookout.

Well worth the journey up the hill for a different perspective & or picnic while you're at it.

EARTH’S GREATEST ENEMY — REFLECTIONS FROM THE SCREENING

2026-07-21

Last week I attended a screening of Earth’s Greatest Enemy 🎥 - Abby Martin’s @fababs powerful new documentary with @empirefiles 🗃️ at @lunapalacecinemas thanks to @ipanaustralia & co for making it happen.

What this film reveals isn’t a villain from a galaxy far, far away 🌌 - it’s something far more familiar, operating right here on our pale blue dot 🌎

Through meticulous investigation, Abby traces the global reach of the U.S. military‑industrial complex, a system whose environmental footprint is enormous and whose presence abroad often stretches far beyond defense 🫯

Researchers have long documented that the U.S. Department of Defense is among the world’s largest institutional consumers of fossil fuels🛢️⛽, with global operations that carry significant ecological consequences 🔥

And yet - every person on Earth has a role to play in protecting this fragile world 🌱

But responsibility isn’t evenly distributed 📊
Some institutions pollute on a scale no individual ever could 📈
Some systems shape ecosystems, nations, and futures with a single decision 🌐

Meeting Abby reminded me that truth‑telling is a form of resistance ✊✌️ - and that documenting the machinery of an empire is itself an act of planetary care 🫶

A small moment, a big conversation, and a reminder that protecting this world begins with looking directly at what threatens it 👀
