Crab Claw down! What an amazing week I had at @bigkansaswhitetails chasing this deer. I spent 65 hours in a deer stand over 5-1/2 days (5:30am-5:30pm) and finally connected ten minutes before my ride came. Absolutely just in the nick of time. This is my biggest buck to date, scoring 161”. I can’t thank Micah and Abby enough for their hospitality. Amazing lodge, amazing food and even better fellowship around the fire each night. If you’re looking for an awesome whitetail, waterfowl or turkey hunt, give them a holler. Special thanks to these brands that were crucial on this hunt. @rigemright @sitkagear @yeti @vortexxoptics @hornadygear #rigemright #heavilyseasoned by @matthewfcagle

Got it done this week with my buddy, Micah Collins @bigkansaswhitetails. I woke up at 2:30am at home in eastern, NC to catch an early flight to Kansas City. After some delays, I finally landed in KC at 11:30am, grabbed a rental car and sped to camp about 1-1/2 hrs away. Quick change of clothes and out the door. Parked the truck and walked about 300 yards and setup for a quick sit. Having bumped a Tom on the way in, I felt like we were more on a scouting mission for the next few days of hunting. Anyway, we get hidden and I called once, waited ten minutes and called again to hear a gobble. A minute or so later he strolls up out of the bottom and right to the decoy. Gun went BANG at 1:45pm. Unreal. My @robrobertscustomgunworks with Reaper choke @beretta_usa A300 20ga did the deal. The hunt lasted 20-minutes. I contemplated flying back that night just for the story. Imagine flying from the beach in NC to KS, land at 11:30, kill a turkey by 1:45 and fly back home the same day. Would’ve been epic, but it was worth it to hang with the crew, enjoy their amazing lodge and eat Abby’s awesome food! #turkeynuggetsfordinnertonight #rigemright #heavilySeasoned #turkeyhunting by @matthewfcagle

My mom is the absolute most awesome mom a little boy (and grown man) could have. She taught me everything from how to pray to how to back a trailer. Best cook ever and had one heck of a fast ball. I true southern lady, proud housewife and full-time mom. The kind of mom that all my buddies loved and wanted to hang around our house. I love you Momma! The mighty Wolfpack cleaned house at the @ducksunlimitedinc college awards bringing home 7 of 9 awards! Proud of my daughter @daisy.cagle (chapter VP) and everyone else who worked their butts off to put on the best DU banquet I’ve ever seen with nearly 1,200 attendees each year. Go Pack!!! #NCstate #StateCollegeChapter #WPN #wolpack by @matthewfcagle

Yesterday my oldest daughter, Daisy, graduated from NC State University with honors and in 3 years. She will be taking a year to work on a cattle farm and doing swine research before heading to Vet school. She’s now a 3rd generation Wolfpacker! Nice work honey. I love you so very much. #ProudDad #OffTheTeet by @matthewfcagle
