Happy 7️⃣ Birthday Owen Ray!!! You continue to be a ray of sunshine for our family. You are silly, fierce, and sweet as pie all at the same time. I’m so grateful to be your mama! by @mattrothert

Winter Wonderland over here in Tennessee. Fortunately, we’ve had power and enjoyed the time together. Sledding, playing games and appreciating the beauty. Pictures can’t really capture how magical it is. Thank you to all of our friends and family who have reached out, but so far, so good🙏❤️#nashvillewinter by @mattrothert

Matteo won his first little league game today and then I took him on a special date to the Nashville Sounds minor league game. They won too. It was such a fun experience. He wore his jersey all day and slept in it when we got home (way past his bedtime) Worth every minute by @mattrothert

Yesterday we met the Governor and First Lady of Tennessee and got to spend an epic afternoon at the mansion as a thank you for serving others. This Summer we participated in the Tennessee Serves program that First Lady Maria Lee put together. The boys did things like picking up trash, feeding the homeless, planting flowers and other things to help out the community and our state. They were rewarded with a kids carnival at the Governor’s mansion. Matteo and Owen also had cotton candy for the first time. #tennesseekidsserve by @mattrothert

I needed some time for myself today. I could do anything I wanted. After running all my errands lol, I decided to take my SUP out on the lake near our house. Despite the 95 degree heat and probably 90%humidity, it was a great decision. Feeling fulfilled once again 😎Also saw a bunch of dragonflies which was cool ❤️ by @mattrothert

Date Night to celebrate our 12 year anniversary ❤️ Enjoyed a great new restaurant, sunset walk, and a yoga class. All of our favorite things! by @mattrothert

Epic camping weekend, minus a few thunderstorms!!! by @mattrothert

Took the boys to the Nashville Sounds baseball game as a reward for them earning 40 positive tally marks over the last few months. Things like kindness, being helpful, sharing, being a first time listener, etc. earned a + mark. They were promised a fun experience when they both reached 40. They have recently become huge baseball fans. So their first baseball game was a perfect reward. It was an amazing experience for all as there were pregame activities for the kids. The Sounds scored the go ahead run in the bottom of the 8th. Then the catcher who had been warming up the pitcher, looked at Matteo and threw him the ball he was using. On the ride home Matteo said “today is the greatest day of my life”. Thank you @nashvillesounds for making this experience a home run 🙏❤️ by @mattrothert

I took the boys to the new Leopard Forest exhibit at the Nashville Zoo. @nashvillezoo #leopard #leopardforest #nashvillezoo by @mattrothert

Took these knights to the 38th Annual Tennessee Renaissance Festival. Saw so many great costumes, artists, entertainers and everything you’d expect from a Renaissance Festival. The boys loved it. @paologarbanzo was next level in his performance. #tennesseerenaissancefestival by @mattrothert

Took the boys to see the original Star Wars at the historic Franklin theater. It came out when I was 7 and I became obsessed, like a lot of us did. I took Matteo last year and this year both of them as Owen is now 6. It was fun being able to share this with them. #maythe4th #maythefourth #maytheforcebewithyou🌌⭐️ by @mattrothert

This weekend the boys and I went on a camping trip with the Cub Scouts. We explored the largest cave system in the world. Matteo and Owen both became junior rangers. We also participated in a flag ceremony with the Scouts. We had an amazing time despite the torrential downpour the first night. by @mattrothert
