Do you think I look cute? Swipe 👉🏼 Muahahaha! by @mauithebengalfold
Just another Caturday 🐾 by @mauithebengalfold
I love it when the sunshine is out and the days are longer again ☀️ Mom saw that I liked going onto the balcony, so she wanted to take me to a park again to enjoy the great outdoors. Turns out, I do NOT like that anymore! Like ew, people! What do you think, shall I get used to it again? Or just leave it and enjoy the slow life indoors? 🤍 by @mauithebengalfold
Hello from Copenhagen, how is everyone doing? 🐾 My pawrents haven’t been very active on here, but mom took this photo the last time she was here. Mom is living in Germsmany now, but she visits whenever she can. Dad is also away a lot for work, so I then get some extra attention from the kind people at @mypeterinarian 🤍 I cannot recommend having pilot pawrents, it’s pawful. But at least they love me a lot and spoil me when they can. I hope all my furriends and their pawrents are happy and healthy 😻 by @mauithebengalfold
On a scale from 1 to 10, how happy are you right now? Mom’s at 17 somewhere 😹🚁 Happy Caturday! by @mauithebengalfold
—ฅ/ᐠ. ̫ .ᐟ\ฅ — Caturday! Celebrate! Caturday! Celebrate! Can you hear it too or do you have no idea where this is from? 🎶 How are you celebrating Caturday? I’m purring in mom’s lap now that she’s finally on the couch again. She was away all day yesterday and this morning too. No idea what she was doing, but she smelled different coming back. She also looked tired like a zombie 🙀 by @mauithebengalfold
Hopping into the weekend like 🦘 What are your plans? Mom will pick up her car (well, hers for a year) in Oslo tomorrow and spend time with friends there. I always come running to the door after she’s been away for a little while. Do you greet your humans at the door? Happy Friyay! 🐾 by @mauithebengalfold
Happy #whiskerwednesday! Where are we going? 😻 For years, mom and dad shared one electric car and it worked out ok (with come inconvenience due to dad’s irregular shifts – thank goodness mom could work from home). In less than three weeks, mom will be a fulltime student again 🚁 So either, mom and dad will be at the airport every day from 6am until 11pm to cover both their school and work days, or, mom has to get her own car. So today, mom will go check out a car! What do you think it will be? And what would you choose? a. Mom’s dream car: a classic Mini 🇬🇧 b. Mom’s practical dream car: a Landrover Defender or Honda Element 🐘 c. Not a dream car, but a small and fuel-efficient city car: a Fiat 500 🇮🇹 Update: It became option d. An electric dream car, rented for the year: a Fiat 500e Icon ⚡️ by @mauithebengalfold
Just gimme the light 🫶🏼 Is the sun shining where you are? Here it’s freezing, snowy, and the sun is shining too ☀️ How long could you go without sunlight? We would love to live further north one day, but not sure we can handle the dark winter days 🥶 by @mauithebengalfold
Hey, what’s up Insta! 🐾 It’s been a while since we shared a photo, so mom dove into the archives to find a few overlooked shots she never got to edit. So here’s a rare indoor pic of me! Just chilling in my cat cave 😻 Can’t wait to go explore again. When it happens, you’ll be the first to see it! What do you prefer? Photography or reels? by @mauithebengalfold
✨ H A P P Y D E C E M B E R ✨ The keyword is “happy”, which I hope you are – or will be soon 🤍 Note from mom: This is our last outdoor photo for now. The main reason for being on IG is photography, but with Maui not enjoying bad weather, we have to see when our next outing and photo opportunity is. What do you think? Dry winter snow or green spring grass? So, there may be more reels this winter (in the reels tab, to keep the feed pretty). But we will be back with more! Even more from mom: Regarding “happy”; it’s hard to stay happy when we work for the same employer and it’s not a decent one. Work is a big part of our daily lives; even more so when working for the same company. Having relocated many times at short notice (or you lose your job), pay cuts, seeing colleagues laid off all the time and wondering if we’re next… Three CEOs in three years and never a moment of calm. Waiting for what’s next and accept whatever they throw at us. It’s not acceptable to talk badly about your employer, but when it’s a toxic one (targeting employees personally, gaslighting, etc.) – then what? Leave. That’s clear. Most colleagues have or are leaving. But having moved here from abroad means there are few options; in the aviation industry, in the area we live (countryside), and not being (fluent in) Norwegian. Things were looking up, as I enrolled into helicopter flight school (after graduating my last degree over 13 years ago). It’s the first time flight school has become an option (by coincidence – or is there no such thing?) and I have wanted this since I was a kid. I never forgot about it, despite having a good career in law and human rights before switching to aviation. But for this, I need to stay here and work part-time. We also absolutely love the apartment we found and don’t want to move ánd disappoint our nice landlords by leaving so soon (we moved here in June). So, what to do? Leave and forget about coming so close to realising a life-long dream? Or stay and somehow make it work? And if so, how? Thanks for reading. I wanted to keep Maui’s account as happy and care-free as she is. Not easy when this is on my mind all the time. 🤍 by @mauithebengalfold
