THE POWER OF SHORE JIGGING
A hard day on the rocks turned into the best day of the year. That is the power of shore jigging – the next cast can always be the one. All you need is a good strategy and a never-give-up attitude.

Big thanks to my friend Felix (@felix.liebau) for doing a great job with the gaff and with the camera, capturing this moment in some epic shots 📸

I will remember this evening for a long time. Not only because I caught a fish of a lifetime, but also because I saw fish so big that I first thought it's a seal on the surface. Seeing these huge fish follow my jig right under my feet was a crazy experience, and getting a second chance made it even better.

Everything is captured in my new shore jigging video on YouTube.

The song I chose fits perfectly: the sweet and beautiful atmosphere of the place, combined with an epic Bouzouki melody by Tolis Voskopoulos, sampled in a hardcore rap track by Jedi Mind Tricks – representing true shore jigging vibes.

Fun time on the boat with my brother @gb_luring hunting for Seabass! Heat ☀️, sweat 💦 but still full focus on fishing 🎯 the UV Index was at 🔝 and the conditions very difficult! 💨🌊 We kept on casting 💯 searching for the big boys! 🐟

Big thanks to my brother George not only for a brilliant netting but also for handling this beast and the amazing footage! 📸🫡

Look at this hungry Snapper! Can you imagine the power of that strike? It was so hard it cut the lip of the lure => Swipe to see!

ℹ️ Since I got the Snipe S 78 XX in my hand I was sure it can handle some serious fish. A delicate setup, with a short grip, super light weight, but power like a devil. Exactly what's needed for heavy cover fishing.

FIRST CAST SCOUTING A NEW AREA
Honestly I wasn't prepared for an instant hit when I was casting a 150 mm lure with my IS76-M2 Technical Snipe. Later this day Bluefish was on the hunt again and this time I was well prepared. Long cast with SINPAA SWIFT 30G PROTO and after a speed change of the Stickbait a brutal attack on the surface.
The lightness of the SWIFT 30G, the delicate tip section combined with the power makes this rod so unforgettable. Can't wait for the release!

Early start in the dark after very little sleep - then the reward! Fishing with an amazing sunrise over the Mediterranean. While casting light lures we could witness big tuna jumping in close range to the shore — an impressive sight! At the end I could catch one of the fish the Tuna were after.

It's impressive how good the INQLUDE M2 TECHNICAL SNIPE works even the lightest lures. The Osp Durga is at the lower end of the cw range and fishes perfectly.

CASTING FOR TOPWATER TREASURES
Drifting along the shoreline and casting lures is a fun way to search for predators. A light breeze made the summer heat easy to handle, so it was a really nice day. For many reasons, I haven’t had much time to get out on the water lately, so I really enjoyed every moment. To finish the day, I caught a nice pan fish and had a great dinner. I hope there will be more days like this!

CLEAR WATER PREDATORS 💥

Always wild to see how a fast, zigzagging jig still becomes an easy target for a barracuda. Even with that slim, narrow mouth, it absolutely nails the strike.

And did you catch that? Both assist hooks ended up inside its mouth! 😳

First strike on the TOBIZO TC80… that’s gotta be a good sign, right? 🎣 by @maxdocken

TOO MANY MANY FALSE-STRIKES
I was chasing Bluefish with my favorite minnow that day, and strangely enough I foul-hooked most of the fish. Besides the three I caught, there were even more that I couldn’t land. Oddly enough, my friend was fishing with topwater lures and hooked all his fish normally. Have you ever experienced something like that?

M9 MAGNUM BULLET
This fish didn't have the slightest chance! Zenaqs strongest rod out of the INQLUDE range is a brutal tool to target strong fighting fish! On this day I was looking for snappers when a poor Barra came by. 😅

I was searching the shallows for seabass with the INQLUDE M2 when I felt a gentle strike at full casting distance. I was expecting a small seabass, but after 10 seconds the fight started to get serious and the fish took off like a rocket.

IT WAS AN UNREAL DAY!
I landed a big seabass on one of my first casts, and about an hour later I managed to net a massive bluefish after some serious runs. At that point, my day was already made, and I just kept fishing with a grateful smile on my face.

Still, towards the end of the day, I couldn’t resist checking out a new spot. After a few casts, I switched my lure and started working the area from a different angle. BOOM - hard strike! The IS76-M2 bent like crazy and the fish started taking line. I could feel it trying to shake the lure off in the structure, my leader scratching over the rocks.

It was a super critical moment - I had no choice but to put maximum pressure on the fish, turn it, and bring it up to the surface again. Thanks to the fast action of the M2, I managed it and got the fish close to the boat, where it went again for the deep.

I almost got cut off by a Seabass, that was close!

Big thanks for the 📸 @felix.liebau
