Hello, I'm May! Since we have quite a few new friends in our community, I thought that now would be a great time to re-introduce myself and share the story behind May Paper Co.

May Paper Co. was born out of a desire to create great quality planner refills to organise my life and find the elusive planner peace as I wasn’t able to find anything in the market at the time to satisfy my needs.

The journey to where I am now wasn’t always easy. As a daughter of immigrant parents, I always felt an unspoken pressure to make them proud and pursue a career in one of the trifecta: medicine, law or engineering. Because I enjoyed maths and science in high school, I eventually found myself accepted into a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering. I quickly realised though, that it was not something I could see myself doing for the rest of my life. Not wanting to be a disappointment, I aimed to at least finish the degree so they could proudly watch me walk across the stage and graduate. But through it all, I felt like I no longer had a sense of direction - what was I going to do next?

It was while I was at uni that I discovered the world of ring bound planners and the planner community. I had finally found my tribe and realised that no, I’m not the only one that is obsessed with stationery and planning!

However, never fully satisfied with the paper quality and layouts that were available, I started to design my own so that I could finally achieve the elusive planner peace and keep me on top of all my assignments. Eventually, I had the confidence to post my planner spreads on Instagram and after much encouragement from the planner community, May Paper Co. was finally born! I had finally found my purpose!

Today, I'm so grateful to have this opportunity to help other women become more productive and organised through our minimalist planner products. Thank you for being a part of my story. So do we have anything in common? Share a fun fact about yourself in the comments below! I'd love to get to know you! by @maypaperco

Espresso, a little Sade, and a slow afternoon planning session. ☕️🤎

This is a combination we can definitely get behind.

Earlier this year, I designed a travel journal as a gift, and honestly, I ended up loving it so much that I thought it would be a bit of a sin not to share it with all of you.

This is our travel journal bundle. At the very front is our Wanderlust dashboard printed on cardstock with a personalized vellum cover page layered on the top. You can add your name here, which I think makes the whole journal feel that little bit more personal, especially if you’re giving it as a gift.

There are also a couple of extras included, such as a frosted top-loading planner pocket, which you can use for boarding passes, tickets, receipts, or little keepsakes you want to collect along the way.

So if you have someone in your life who loves to travel, or maybe you have a trip coming up yourself, I think I may have just sorted your Christmas gift.

For many of us, our love of stationery and planners began at a young age.

From getting excited about picking out new notebooks and pens for back-to-school, to now spending our adult money on luxury planners, inserts, and accessories... some things never really change, and there's something very comforting about that.

When did your love of stationery begin?
