On March 3rd 2026 at 3:32 AM PST, there was a total lunar eclipse with totality visible from the west coast of the US. I flew to Seattle WA, and then drove to Spokane to capture this timelapse of the entire eclipse event.

This photo is a composite, captured next to the Spokane River. The sky is composed of 1445 individual exposures, stacked together into one image using Siril. With this technique I am able to show star trails and the "bowtie moon."

Timelapse video coming soon!

Astro-converted Canon 6D + Sigma 14mm f/1.8 Art
1445 exposures @ 14mm f/1.8, 4" shutter, ISO 800, 10" interval. Total shooting time 3.5 hours.

The Perseid meteor shower peaked on the night of August 12th this year. I captured a seven-hour timelapse spanning from 9 PM until 4 AM at Antietam National Battlefield near the visitors center. The camera was pointed north-east, directly at where Perseus rises from the horizon.

There is a very prominent red aurora that appears from the north starting in the middle of the video!!

The meteors can be seen more prominently at the second half of the timelapse, near the top third of the scene.

7 hours, 1682 exposures, 10" ISO 4000 @ 14mm f/1.8

Magfest day 3 pt 3!
I'm making the Inazuma photoshoot into 2 posts, one for the group shots/casual fun shot. And one for the silly goofy shipping pics 👀

Thank you to @mchltang for the photos!
