We're proud to have partnered with the team at Woodland Veterinary Clinic to construct their new veterinary space.

Our role was to build their vision and create a space that is both welcoming for clients and highly functional for staff.

Special thanks to @planimal_architects for such a beautiful design and invaluable partnership in bringing Woodland Veterinary Clinic's vision to life.

From planning through construction and completion, it was a pleasure working alongside a team so committed to the animals and people they serve.

Not all "yes" will be equal. 🩺

And we may not be your "yes-man" because even though your dream clinic inspo may look good, doesn’t always mean it’ll work.

In healthcare construction, the right yes means sanitized surfaces, infection control built into the walls, and equipment-ready spaces from day one. Never as an afterthought.

Swipe through the things we never compromise on. →

If you’re want to know how to build your clinic, comment “DESIGN” to learn about our $0 design fee promotion for design-build project.

Ghosting is for Halloween. Not for your clinic build. 👻

Four things we never disappear on:

Your site visit. We walk the unit with you at no cost before you sign the lease, so electrical, plumbing and venting problems show up early, when they’re cheaper to fix.

Your budget. We work on fixed contract pricing, so the number we agree on is the number that holds.

Your updates. One point of contact for your whole build, so you can keep seeing patients.

Your timeline. You see the full schedule from day one, and we plan every trade around it to keep your build on track.

Medico has built 100+ healthcare spaces across BC and Alberta.

Meet CU Vision, a new optometry clinic we're building in Richmond.

Our site supervisor Billy Toma takes you through it in the final stretch. The finishes are going in now, and the equipment comes next.

A few things worth a look:
The exam room cabinets were requested by the doctor are fully custom and we made it happen, so every lens and tool sits where she'll reach for it.

The frame display millwork is bright on purpose, because patients buy frames they can actually see.
The curved exterior glass was the toughest part of the build, and it's why these rooms get so much daylight.

Medico Construction & Design builds healthcare clinics only, across BC and Alberta. CU Vision is the next one we'll hand over. Follow along for the finished reveal.

Designed and built by us.

Building a vet clinic? It needs things a regular clinic never will.
Air that moves away from your lobby. Circuits and walls planned around your X-ray. Kennels that don’t start a barking chain. A goodbye room with its own door to the parking lot.
We’ve built vet clinics across Metro Vancouver, from Coquitlam Animal Hospital to Paws on Fraser. Planning one in BC or Alberta? Start with a no-cost site assessment. Link in bio.
Save this for when you’re planning yours.

You didn’t go to med school to chase an engineer.
But on most clinic builds, that’s the job you end up with. The designer is waiting on the engineer, the engineer is waiting on the city, three quotes come back that don’t match, and you’re picking flooring between patients.
We run it the other way around. Design, permits, pricing and construction sit with one team, so there’s one number to call and one person accountable for the answer. You approve things. You don’t chase them.
Clinics, pharmacies, optometry, veterinary. 100+ healthcare projects across BC and Alberta.

Happy Thanksgiving from all of us at Medico 🍂
No clinic gets built by one company. It takes the doctors who trust us with their vision, and the framers, electricians, plumbers, millworkers and suppliers who show up every day to make it real.
To everyone who had a hand in a build with us this year, thank you. Enjoy the long weekend.

Ten years ago we built @originoptometry_ Origin Optometry in Nanaimo. We also designed it for a day that hadn’t come yet.
Dr. Jesse Petreman just called us back for phase two. Because the original layout planned for this, we can build the new space next door while his clinic stays open, then open up one wall and join the two.
The real challenge isn’t the build itself. It’s matching the colors and patient flow of work we finished a decade ago, without interrupting a single day of appointments.
This is part one. We’re documenting phase two all the way to the day that wall comes down. Follow along.

The concrete beam in this staff room wasn’t going anywhere. So the cabinets moved around it.

Vida Medical Clinic has 7 exam rooms, 2 staff areas and a doctor’s office. Most of what makes it work sits in places a floor plan doesn’t show.

Swipe for the walk-through:

↳ Felt acoustic panels hung from a tall waiting-area ceiling, so the room doesn’t echo
↳ Upper cabinets that step down around a sloped concrete beam, with an outlet built into the gap
↳ One woodgrain finish from the reception desk to the staff room, so the clinic reads as one design
