Refreshed this 8 year old tattoo and brought it new life 🌱 ➡️swipe to see the before➡️ The goal was to sharpen the lines, bring more detail + intricacies, and refine some shading. Two sessions overall to bring it to where we landed. #tattoorefresh #botanicaltattoo #vinetattoo #thightattoo #beforeandaftertattoo by @megankellyart

Hummingbird + honeysuckle to honor her son and the women in her family. We stenciled the hummingbird and a few of the flowers, and the rest were drawn directly on the skin. The surrounding lovely floral tattoos are not by me. . Save this as inspo for the next tattoo you’ve been dreaming of 🌼 Kalleigh came in wanting something soft, whimsical, and a little bit magical. We kept it simple with daffodils and daisies, then added a tiny dragonfly and ornaments for that dreamy touch. I stenciled part of the placement, then drew the rest on by hand so it flows organically with her body. My favorite part is that it looks like it was always meant to live on her. 🤍 Which detail is your favorite? Tell me below! 👇 Created at my home studio at @the.moonflower.collective #finelinetattooartist #botanicaltattooartist #ashevilletattooartist #hendersonvilletattooartist #downtownhendersonville by @megankellyart
Monarch, caterpillar, milkweed, and a little bumble 🦋🐝 My client has dreamed of this piece for years, but the timing (or the artist) never lined up. Yesterday, we finally made it happen! And it landed right as the monarchs were migrating through WNC. I couldn’t have planned it better 🧡 Timing is everything. Got a tattoo idea you’ve been sitting on? Send me a DM, I’d love to hear it. #monarchtattoo #botanicaltattoo #finelinetattoo #wnctattoo #ashevilletattoo by @megankellyart
I’ve learned endless lessons from this vocation. Amongst many others, it has taught me to move gently, choose carefully, and trust my timing. 🌸 Here are five lessons I carry with me, in the studio and out of it. Which lesson resonates for you right now?
