Therapist, CEO, Mom, ADHD brain running the whole thing. Come hang @meganrafuse by @meganrafuse

I don’t want to become a person who runs her family like a project plan.

I also don’t want to remember pajama day at 10:47pm.

I like that my ADHD makes me spontaneous. I like that I can turn a boring Tuesday into something fun because I had an idea and decided we should all go do it right now.

I also really, really like when the dishes are done, the soccer uniform is ready, and we know where the permission slip is.
Both can be true.

The goal isn’t to organize the personality out of yourself. It’s having enough things in place that you can enjoy the parts of your brain you love without constantly cleaning up after them.

If you know, you know. by @meganrafuse

Who are we all performing for?

Success doesn’t make you immune to stress, self-doubt, or mental health challenges. And it definitely doesn’t mean you always have it figured out. It’s actually usually the opposite and you are just figuring it out as you go and pretending you know what you are doing.

I loved being part of The Human Side of High Performance panel in Toronto, alongside people from completely different industries who were willing to have honest conversations about what happens behind the scenes of success.

Thank you to @unsinkablestories and @bdc_ca for bringing us together, and @goodlifefitness for sponsoring the evening. I’m still laughing from the convo. It was a great event. I need to leave my house more often.

A huge shout out to my fellow panellists as well 💕

This is approximately 17 minutes after one of us casually suggested living on a boat. 😅
ㅤ
No discussion of whether we should live on a boat.
We’ve moved on to guest accommodations.
Unfortunately, it doesn’t always go this well.
ㅤ
Give two ADHD brains a worry to ruminate on together, and we can be just as committed to that idea too.

Send this to the person you’d accidentally buy a boat with. ⛵ by @meganrafuse

The bigger your business gets, the more important it is to spot the risks before they become problems. 🧊

Building @theshiftcollab has taught me A LOT about scaling, leadership, and learning to see the iceberg before you hit it. 😂

I recently joined the @hakkolahorizons FoundHer Rising podcast to chat about all that and more. If you're building something of your own, this one's worth a listen! Link in bio. by @meganrafuse

We talk about grief like it’s something you’re supposed to get through politely and in private. I don’t buy it.

I had the best conversation with @dallas.lombardi and @melainesodka, founders of @goodgriefgala, happening October 25th @ravinevineyard. It’s an evening built to break the silence around loss and to raise funds to ensure women in need can access professional help.

Every ticket supports that work. Grab yours at the link in my bio. I would love to see you there 🤍 by @meganrafuse

Got together with my besties from the Good Grief Gala to share some of our favourite moments from the event. The third annual @goodgriefgala is weeks away, get your tickets before it’s too late and come experience a beautiful day of healing, self love, and light✨🤍

Brought to you by:

What hills are you stuck on? 👀 by @meganrafuse

Hypothetical children are SO easy to raise. 😂

Mine had limited screen time, consistent bedtimes and a mother who always knew exactly how to respond.

She was incredible.

Anyway, actual parenting has taught me that knowing what you want to do and doing it in real life are two very different things.

What’s one parenting rule you were VERY sure about before you had kids? by @meganrafuse

Kids and lying is one of those parenting topics that can feel pretty high stakes in the moment 😅

It’s wild debating with a 5 year old about what does or does not tell me that they actually brushed their teeth.

This might be my secret tactic for finding the truth 👀 Comment LIE and I’ll send you the full article.

Thank you to @raisingaura and @todaysparent for making parenting feel manageable and helping parents feel a lot less alone when we are Googling how to handle these big topics! And thank you to @lindssilverberg for always finding thoughtful ways to bring @theshiftcollab and our clinical perspectives into conversations parents are actually having. by @meganrafuse

One of my favourite things about getting older is realizing how many versions of you there are still time to become.

I trained as a therapist. Now my AI assistant is pulling quotes from my meetings about retention, metrics, rocks and levers. 😂

Apparently somewhere along the way, I learned an entirely new language.

It’s easy to think you’re supposed to figure out who you are and then stay there. I’m increasingly convinced that’s the least interesting option.

What’s something you do now that an earlier version of you would NEVER have predicted? by @meganrafuse
