Indigenous Peoples Day!
Today I am thinking of my grandparents, great grandparents and hope that in some ways, they are working through me.
I used to carry a lot of shame growing up- we were teased a lot for being Native. Our story is tender and one that I’ll get permission from my parents to share one day on paper, but for now I’ll keep it close.

My dad used to play this Jerry Alfred CD in the truck on our superly long drives to go sell his carvings or more specifically our drive to Haines lol and my older sister sent it to me, I kind of chuckled because it brought back so many memories. Anyways, piniqamsi, I love my family. by @mekegsaq
