Waeya in and out of the void

At first, the frame-within-a-frame/wider compositions weren’t a stylistic choice but a limitation. Then at some point, I started to appreciate them so I decided to include both: the OG composition of Waeya in the void and the stripped-back isolated Waeya in the white void.

Also this scratches the part of my brain that apparently needs more visual stimulation or maybe I just can’t handle the existential dread of a person floating in an endless white void. Not sure which one but until I unpack those subconscious decisions, I’ll continue to play around with disrupting it.

Been meaning to find something to edit this random footage i shot back in 2019 when i visited top withens in brontë country for my final photo project, and i just knew i had to film something too. so here’s a vocal cover of the enemy by mumford & sons, from andrea arnold’s 2011 wuthering heights.
(Cinematography by Robbie Ryan and Effy from Skins what more do you need??)

Mock cosmetic ad for my advertising photography class 💄✨ played around with the copywrite and styled the shoot around my covid relief impulse buy—Kesha Rose Beauty (RIP to this discontinued gem) Moodboard was kaleidoscope-inspired, and had the pleasure of working with @familiameraki @makeup_by_siri_ 💕

Would love to do more projects like this—let me know what you think or which shot you’d put on a billboard by @melakas__

Mock beverage ad campaign for my Advertising Photography class 🍷✨.

I set designed, styled, and shot it myself — and chose Prophecy’s white wine because the label gives The Star tarot card vibes. I’ve had the bottle for years just for the aesthetic. Honestly, I’ll find any excuse to make something tarot-inspired.🔮

This is a throwback to my winter solstice/COVID quarantine photoshoot, where I used my leftover Red Flag Halloween costume for my pagan crown. WHAT a time the past 5 years have been.
