Sooooo, I was taking myself out to dinner today and started reflecting on a comment I heard this morning on the way to church. Someone was talking about themselves being “the prize”. I was so confused.🤔 i didn’t know that phrasing/belief was still a thing lol.

I think I’m just different! I’m single, but I have to believe that my person is coming for me, and I will be ready for them. I also believe I’m a reward for them and they are a reward for me and the two shall become one!

Y’all gotta help ya girl out with this one!! lol

This pic is up close and personal! As a kid, I didn’t want my picture taken because I didn’t look like everybody else and I was ashamed of my complexion. My mom tried to encourage me. She told me I was café au lait! She told me not to be embarrassed of my smile nor the color of my skin.

If you didn’t know café au lait means coffee with cream. As I got older and built up my confidence and understood even more about who I am, I realized that a little cream smooths everything out and that a little cream in your coffee can take it from 0 to 100. It can take it from bitter to sweet! Enough said! ☕️ by @melissa_eppinger

Every time I look at myself I’m reminded of the goodness of God! That’s for real!! by @melissa_eppinger

Getting better day by day! Telling myself that I’m worth it! Telling myself that I’m above and not beneath!! Telling myself that excellence is my portion!! Telling myself that I matter and carry pricelessness! Telling myself don’t focus on what’s not but, focus on what is!!! Telling myself that my unique personality is enough!! Telling myself that there’s a yes for M.E.

As I declare these truths over myself, I’m declaring them over you too! Be the best you that you can be because nobody can beat you at being you!
