🎨 Meet Mellina Mallah
Artist. Student. Centretown local.

Living in Centretown for nearly three years, Mellina draws daily inspiration from the art surrounding her, from the Canada Council for the Arts to local galleries and quiet photo walks through the neighbourhood.
Working primarily in ink, her practice began with journaling - a five-year journey documenting healing, growth, and reclaiming voice through generations of silenced emotion.
Her current body of work, "Unmute", explores reclamation, expression, and creative freedom, a reminder that art connects us and gives language to what once felt unspeakable.
She’s currently exploring mixed media, visual distortion, and collaborative creative work right here in Centretown.

A few things by @mellinamallah

Season 2, we are back.

we never stopped becoming. 💛

this season is about embodiment. desire. living unapologetically. trusting the fire within you. taking up space in your own life while remembering that this life is so much bigger than just us.

thinking beyond ourselves. feeling fully alive. creating, playing, loving, experiencing it all.

There Was Always a Fire in Me — episode one is out now on Spotify + YouTube.

Girl in her city by @mellinamallah

Choosing myself, practicing self-love every day, and feeling grateful for the life I’m creating and excited for where it’s going. This is an ode to who I’m becoming and who I’ve always been. Younger me would be freaking out right now. 🌺
