Happy Birthday to my musical theater-loving, New York City-traveling, show tune-singing Mere! 🥳🩷

I’m so thankful that travel brought us together and even more thankful for the friendship that came from it! Thank you for being YOU and for being such a great friend. You are so loved and appreciated! 🫶🏼

I hope you have the BEST day filled with relaxation, endless show tunes, cuddles with your babies, and lots of time spent with the people you love most!

Can’t wait until we’re dancing our way through Disney or the streets of NYC together again! Love you! Happiest Birthday 🥳 by @merelovesmickey

A day we will never forget. And a place that makes you truly understand the weight of those words. 🇺🇸

Remembering the lives lost, the heroes who ran toward danger, and the way our country stood together. Never forget. ❤️🤍💙 by @merelovesmickey

I don’t know how we got here, but somehow @ojm87 and I blinked and we have a 2nd and 1st grader!!!

This was a tough morning on my mom heart because time is moving faster than I’m comfortable with, but as Orlando reminded me, we are raising brave and self-assured kids. There was nothing but excitement and confidence today as they both stepped boldly into this next adventure!!!

I hope this is the best year yet!!! by @merelovesmickey

Happy birthday to one of our favorite humans!!! Any time I get to introduce @jonathan.pohl to someone new they say “it’s like I already know you!” Because that’s how much I talk about him 🤣🤣🤣
I hope that everyone is lucky enough to have a Jonathan in their lives… an effortless, safe, lovely friendship that makes life so much sweeter.
How lucky am I get a best friend who fits in with our family and treats each of us like we are one of the most important parts of his life?! It works out well, because he’s certainly one of the most important people in our lives.
Jonathan, thank you for being you, for allowing me to be clumsy and silly, for loving my entire family as your own. The world is such a brighter place with you in it.
Cheers to another year of ridiculous Disney memories, musical singalongs, laughing until we cry, and more shenanigans along the way.
Enjoy your birthday on the open seas! We hope to see ya real soon!!! We love you, Uncle JJ!!!!!!!

As Jack Skellington once said… Happy St. Patrick’s Day! ☘️ by @merelovesmickey

Year Six 💕💕💕

To know her is to love her. Shes never met a stranger, she loves sparkles, art, dancing, music, and stuffies.
She’s braver than I’ll ever hope to be and she’s truly going to change the world.

Luciana Maria, you’re the best parts of this world and being your mom is one of the biggest joys of my life. Keep being loud and opinionated and brave! You’re going to do big things, little one. We love you more than words can say.

Now time slow down please!

Happy Birthday, Luciana Maria! You are so loved!!!!! by @merelovesmickey

Year 8. 💙💛

Eight years ago you signed up for a lifetime with a Disney adult, a theater kid, and a person who is already planning the next trip before the current one is over. In hindsight… that was a pretty bold move!
Being married to a Sailor comes with challenges of course but, being married to me deserves a special recognition too; because through every Disney vacation, spontaneous adventure, and every new idea I’ve enthusiastically presented as a “small plan,” you’ve never just tolerated my whims. You’ve supported them!
You somehow manage to believe I’m the smartest person in every room while also gently reminding me I’m capable of doing the “little things” better. You challenge me, encourage me, and make me a better version of myself.
Watching you be an incredible dad has been one of the greatest gifts of our marriage. Your patience seems endless. The way you guide, teach, and love our kids proves every day that everything we go through is absolutely worth it.
This past year taught us a lot. People say the seventh year can be the hardest, but I think it made us a stronger team. We’ve walked through heartbreak, loss, and some of the hardest moments life can offer, often separated by thousands of miles. Through it all, we’ve learned that while life is easier together, there’s something special about knowing we can trust each other to carry on when duty, distance, or life requires it.
It hasn’t been a perfect eight years, but it has been a beautiful eight years.
Thank you for supporting my dreams, building this life with me, loving me through every season, and saying “yes” to one more Disney trip than any reasonable person should.

I’d choose you again every single time. Happy anniversary, mi amor! Cheers to a million more!

Ps, I can’t wait to celebrate with you in NY in a few weeks! by @merelovesmickey

This girl makes her STAGE DEBUT today!!!
The first thing @ojm87 said when we found out we were having a girl was “mere, you’re getting your ballerina!” Boy was he right!!!

This is literally a moment I’ve dreamt about my entire life. You’re a star Luciana Maria and we love you SOOOOOO much!

Break a leg!!! by @merelovesmickey

These days never get easier or lighter, but the only way out of it is through it.
We love you @ojm87, more than we could ever say. We are so proud of you. Now go kick some ass and then get back home to us!
See ya real soon 😘 by @merelovesmickey

Spring Break ‘26- Disney Destiny: Day 1

We got an early start from our hotel in Jacksonville and we made it to Port Everglades in time for our port arrival time! There were some technical difficulties, so we were a bit delayed getting onboard, but that didn’t stop the excitement when they announced the Madriz family and we saw Uncle JJ! (Please note Lulu abandons her suitcase once it fails to roll on the carpet and just runs for JJ! 🤣)
We dropped our bags and explored the kids club. We walked right into a Disney dance party and then it was time for the Sail Away Party! We had a great spot and I cried so hard that Carlos said “it’s ok mommy- these are the best memories” to which I cried even harder.
Then we had a bit of a dance party on deck where the kids made besties with Miss Alex, a love affair that lasted the entire length of the cruise!
From there we went to the Grand Hall for the first of the Storytellers’ traveling shows! Carlos was picked to be Thor and it was so great. Loki even showed up and Carlos couldn’t stop talking about how cool the ship was already and it was only day one!!!
We had dinner with Uncle JJ at World of Marvel and then the kids wanted to go to the Kids Club. They were both so excited that they could take the slide straight into the club 🤣🤣🤣
I enjoyed another rousing rendition of Treblemaking with the Storytellers and Cruella and then picked up the kids. Lulu had to remind me that this magic “was all started by a mouse and a dream” which is a quote from the Disney SiriusXM station 🥰

It was a DAY!!! And it was only day 1!!! by @merelovesmickey

Spring Break 2026 was one for the books!
We laughed, we cried, we found our Destiny!!!

I will post our events day-by-day soon, but here are some highlights of one of the best weeks ever. These kids are such great travelers and explorers. They make fast friends and I swear that Luciana had her social calendar full by the second hour onboard 🤣

We weren’t without mishaps or meltdowns of course, but luckily those were few and far between the great memories we made together. Cheers to the magic, the crew members, and of course to Uncle JJ!!! by @merelovesmickey
