O-fish-ally Introducing: @MertopiaMermaids 🧜🏼‍♀️✨ Over the last year and a half, I’ve poured my heart into building something magical. I’ve been busy casting and auditioning performers, hand creating new costumes, designing entertainment packages, and fully training a talented pod of mermaids to join me in spreading under the sea magic across events in Melbourne 🌊💞 We’re now ofishally off and swimming, and already booking up for summer! I’m so proud of my talented team, this vision, and all the hard work that made it possible 💜 If you’ve followed my journey as Mermaid Tarielle, this next chapter means so much to me. Follow @MertopiaMermaids to dive into the magic with me 💖💦 📸 Photos of the pod by @jayezelga #MertopiaMermaids #MermaidTarielle #DreamsToReality #HardWorkPaysOff #MermaidPod #CreativeEntrepreneur #MermaidLife #OfishallyOpen #OceanDreams by @mertopiamermaids
A shared mission. A powerful impact. 🌊🐚 Mermaids Save the Sea brought together community, creativity, and conservation in @cityofportphillip, transforming a single day into meaningful action for our oceans. From @cleanupaustralia day beach clean-up efforts led by @conservationvolunteers and marine education sessions hosted by @melbourneseashepherd and @ecocentrestkilda, to interactive activities and a live mermaid swim-up experience with @mertopiamermaids, every element of the event was designed to inspire awareness and encourage real change. Together, we: • Collected and removed over 15kg of coastal litter from the beach • Engaged hundreds of families and young ocean advocates • Created a space where education and imagination could work hand in hand Proud to have hosted this event and collaborated with such incredible partners. A little peek behind the magic ✨🧜‍♀️ Our mermaids recently had the joy of being part of a very special event at @racvtorquayresort, and of course, there’s always a little more happening behind the scenes than meets the eye. From getting ready and perfecting every detail to transforming into full mermaid magic, so much love, preparation and teamwork goes into creating the experience you see on the day 💕 We loved capturing some of those little moments that usually stay behind the curtain. Keeping the magic alive, one fin, sparkle and secret transformation at a time ✨🫧 #MertopiaMermaids #BehindTheScenes #MermaidMagic #ProfessionalMermaid #MermaidLife by @mertopiamermaids

I’ve spent years building Mermaid Tarielle, but one of the biggest shifts for me over the last few years was realising that building a business that can grow beyond myself, meant thinking beyond just a single mermaid 🧜‍♀️ With @mertopiamermaids, I’ve had to start thinking about the whole underwater world I wanted to create: who the other mermaids are, how they feel different from one another, what colours and costumes suit them, how they photograph, how they move, and how they all still feel like they belong to the same story. That process has taught me a lot. A character can be beautiful on their own, but when you’re building a brand, you also have to think about consistency, recognisability, practicality and how each costume actually works in real life. It’s not just choosing a pretty tail. It’s asking whether that character adds something different, whether the look is memorable, whether the costume can handle the work it needs to do, and whether the whole cast feels cohesive together. For anyone else building a brand, I think this is one of the most interesting stages: when you stop creating individual looks and start creating a universe people can recognise. Seeing the Mertopia Mermaids together like this makes me realise how far that idea has come from when it was just me creating Tarielle. And because I’m curious how other people see them: if you were building your own mermaid character from these three looks, which tail would you choose first? I’d genuinely love to hear what draws you to one over the others, colour, shape, personality, overall feel, or something else entirely ✨ by @mertopiamermaids

While we were offline… our mermaids were still very much making waves 🌊🧜‍♀️✨ Our page may have disappeared from your feeds for a few weeks, but behind the scenes, Mertopia Mermaids certainly didn’t stop swimming. We’ve been busy creating, planning, performing, travelling to events across Melbourne and continuing to pour our hearts into everything we do 💙 Now that our account is finally back, we have so much to catch you up on, so we thought we’d start with a few behind-the-scenes shell-fies from our lovely mermaids, who have been out spreading magic while our Instagram page was taking an unexpected break 🐚📸 We’re so happy to be reunited with our small but growing community and incredibly grateful for every follow, message, share, booking and bit of support. It feels good to be back! 🧜‍♀️✨ #MertopiaMermaids #MermaidMagic #MermaidEntertainment #MelbourneMermaids #BehindTheScenes by @mertopiamermaids
We’re back! 🧜‍♀️✨ For the past month, Mertopia Mermaids has been much quieter online than we ever intended. Our account was unexpectedly disabled by Meta (for the third time this year) and while our founder @mermaidtarielle’s account was thankfully restored within hours, getting Mertopia Mermaids back has been a much longer battle behind the scenes. After weeks of persistence, we’re so relieved to say that our page has finally been restored 💙 It’s been frustrating and disheartening at times, especially as a small growing business and community, but one thing has stayed true throughout it all: You can’t keep us mermaids from flipping our fins 🧜‍♀️ We’re incredibly happy to have both accounts back, to reconnect with our community, and to keep sharing the magic we’ve been working so hard on behind the scenes. Thank you to everyone who has supported us, shared our work and stayed with us through the silence. It means more than you know 💖🫧✨ Here’s to being back above the surface, and to plenty more magic ahead!
