We present new work by Brazilian artist Alessandra Meskita. Light, perception, and movement are the subject of Meskita’s work. Made of fabric on painted canvas, the piece changes from stark white when viewed from the side to luminous gold as the viewer moves to the center. Her sculptural compositions are carefully arranged into shifting landscapes, so the viewer’s movement and the light becomes part of the work.

Created in Providence this past summer with love, then shipped to Miami—this diptych marks the beginning of my 2026–2027 winter season in Miami and Palm Beach. 🤍

Made for dear friends and their beautiful family, for one of the most beautiful homes—a space that truly reflects the Miami lifestyle. Airy, fresh, and resort-like, yet so homey and cozy. Simply gorgeous.

It was an honor to create this bespoke diptych for them, and even more meaningful that they chose to name the two pieces after their children, Bento and Noah.

Knowing that my art will become part of their family’s everyday life is one of the most beautiful gifts of being an artist.

To my dear collectors, thank you for your love, your trust, and your friendship. ✨ by @meskita

Happy Bday to me! 10/10! This was me on my seventh birthday. Forty years later, I’m still that girl—with an even deeper love for everything that awakens my senses. 🤍

For me, everything becomes an experience. My morning ritual of getting ready: my hair, my makeup, choosing my clothes, feeling the fabrics. Cooking for my family. Fresh flowers, the fragrance of my home, candles, music. These everyday pleasures make me feel good, and I love creating that feeling for the people around me.

I owe so much of this to my parents. My mother is an artist, and I grew up in Brazil in a beautiful, modern home that was also so cozy. Huge glass walls everywhere, rooms filled with light, an incredible garden, delicious food, and classical music playing in the background. They gave me a foundation of love, creativity, and beauty that I carry into everything I do.

These days, I’m more of a jazz girl, but that love of a deeply sensorial life is still the same.

Looking back, it makes perfect sense that my path led me through fashion design and into art. Working with color, texture, and movement is a sensory experience for me, and through my artwork, I get to share that experience with my collectors.

As I celebrate this birthday, I feel grateful for that little girl, for the world my parents created for her, and for the life she continues to create. ✨ by @meskita

MAGENTA, 2020
55”x72”

This painting is so dear to my heart. I created Magenta in 2020, during such a transitional moment in my life. I had been painting for many years, but it was around this time that painting became more than something I loved—it became my career. 🎨

I was home with Yohai, painting, dreaming, and imagining what our life might look like one day. I had always loved hydrangeas, especially magenta ones, and dreamed of someday living in a home surrounded by them. 🌸

Six years later, Magenta hangs in my bedroom, overlooking a garden filled with the very flowers I dreamed about. So many beautiful things have happened since I created this painting that I don’t think I could ever sell it. I fall asleep looking at it and wake up to it every day.

I dream it, I paint it… and somehow, sometimes, I end up living it. ✨

Manifestation is a beautiful and magical thing. 💗🌸 by @meskita

There is something incredibly intimate about creating a work of art for the heart of your own home. 🤍

This is the first piece I created for our new home in Rhode Island, and the first artwork painted in my new Providence studio.

I created it especially for my kitchen and dining room—a space that means so much to me because I absolutely love cooking for my family. I find myself in the kitchen two or three times a day, and for me, cooking is another form of creativity, love, and connection.

Our kitchen overlooks the most magnificent garden I have ever seen, filled with flowers and constantly changing colors. Beside it is our dining table with its custom banquette, where so many of our family moments happen.

And that presented me with a beautiful challenge: how do you create an artwork that can converse with a garden that is already a work of art?

I kept looking outside—to the sky, the light, the flowers—and then toward another place where I feel most connected: the ocean.

The beach has always been one of my favorite places to be. It is where I feel peaceful, present, and deeply connected with the Divine. So instead of competing with the garden, I decided to bring the horizon home.

I studied the sky and ocean again and again, finding the blues and subtle tonalities that would speak to the colors of our kitchen, dining table, and the nature just beyond the windows.

48 × 120 inches.
A piece about the things I love most: family, home, cooking, nature, the ocean, and our connection with the Divine. 🌊🩵🙏🏻

Created with so much love in Providence, Rhode Island. by @meskita

Rhode Island has completely stolen my heart. Especially in the summer, when every corner is filled with color, history, coastal beauty, and so much character.

Over the past few years, I’ve been fortunate to build a life between Florida and Rhode Island, with studios in both places. Today marks a very special milestone for me: the delivery and installation of my very first artwork in this Magical Place.

Seeing one of my creations find its home here, in a community that has become so meaningful to me, fills me with so much happiness.

To these wonderful collectors—who are also dear family friends— @eolives @bamchester thank you for welcoming my work into your beautiful home. Knowing this piece will become part of your everyday life is the greatest gift an artist can receive.

thank you to @crestar.art for a flawless installation and for treating my artwork with such care and professionalism.

Every installation marks the beginning of a new story. This one feels especially close to my heart, and I have a feeling it’s only the beginning of many more to come by @meskita

Honored to have been part of this year’s Hamptons Fine Art Fair with Modern Fine Art Gallery.

It is truly a privilege to see my work exhibited alongside legendary masters such as Picasso, Lichtenstein, de Kooning, Motherwell, and so many other remarkable artists.

Thank you to Modern Fine Art for your trust, support, and for including me in such an inspiring presentation.

To every collector who has believed in my work over the years—thank you. Your support, encouragement, and trust have made this moment possible. You have been an essential part of this journey, and I am deeply grateful.

This represents a new milestone and the beginning of an exciting new chapter in my career. I always dreamed of one day exhibiting alongside artists I have admired throughout my life. I just never imagined that day would come so soon. It reminds me that dreams have a way of arriving when passion, dedication, and purpose lead the way.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by, engaged with my work, and shared meaningful conversations throughout the fair. I am incredibly grateful and excited for what’s ahead. ✨

Announcing representation of
ALESSANDRA MESKITA

We are proud to welcome Alessandra Meskita (Brazilian, b.1979) to our gallery. Meskita's practice centers on a distinctive interplay of fabric cords and painted canvas. She creates pieces that are responsive to the viewer's angle of vision, the surrounding light, and the space they occupy. Each work begins with a painted canvas onto which cords are meticulously layered, producing soft compositions where color transforms and lines expand and contract. The result is more than a painting; it is a site-specific installation.

Meskita's artwork will be on view in our booth at the Hamptons Fine Art Fair from July 9th–12th, 2026.

Alessandra Meskita was born in São Paulo, Brazil to a family of artists and at 15 she began painting, weaving, and working with textiles. In 2007 she started the fashion line MESKITA in New York, placing collections in luxury department stores worldwide. That background in fabric, texture, and structured movement stayed with her and in 2016 she shifted her career toward fine art. Meskita has exhibited her works at Art Basel Miami, the Armory Show NY and recently she held a solo exhibition at The Vault during Art Basel Miami 2024. Her works are part of many private collections worldwide. Today she resides
between Palm Beach, Miami and Providence.
