Kia ora kotou, ko Jessie tōku ingoa. Thank you for joining me on this creative journey! Sharing a few tidbits to get to know me 😍 by @messie__jessie

Comment what other words you want me to unpick 😉 #sewing #learn #beginner by @messie__jessie

It sounds silly but asking for help is really difficult for me, I honestly believe I can do it all! But I want to provide top quality products and some parts of that are beyond my capability at the moment, but I will learn! I’m so determined. Onwards 🫡

📸 the mirror lately! I actually made a goal at the start of the year (inspired by my trip to Japan where everyone dresses SO well) to get dressed everyday. I wish I could say it surprised me at how much it improved my life in both big and small ways.

1) The obvious one being I just feel better - I used to sit around in activewear and greasy hair (and while there is NOTHING wrong with that!) I just felt like a slob. I definitely still have those days, I just feel so much better when I put some effort into my outfit.

2) it makes me more productive/motivated to do things. No one wants to waste a good outfit? When I get dressed I always want to make the most of it and I feel like I just live more life when I have a cute fit. I’ve found that to be really important when working from home, I still get ready for the day which starts the day with some intention and purpose.

3) it has helped me to experiment! I try to put different things together and wear new combinations and it’s always rewarding when you find a way to reinvent something that’s been in your wardrobe for years.

4) is not relatable for many but, as a content creator there were so many moments I thought I could film and then caught a glimpse of myself and thought hell no I’m not putting that on the internet 😂 I mean, there is plenty of heinous photos of me out there but it’s super convenient when I’m dressed and looking cute to be able to snap away and film anything.

This post is not a dig at anyone who loves to live in their comfies, everyone is in their own season of life, I’m just sharing what has made me feel good 😊🫶🏽 by @messie__jessie

How I use a bias tape maker, they definitely make life less fiddly but you can also do without them.

NGL building the website is my least favorite job so far 😅 but need to remind myself it doesn’t have to be perfect, it just has to work!
