C2C on a prototype Donkey Slayer bladed jig! @metalflakemarvin has been working on some new Donkey skirt blends and flare designs, this prototype features a super wide flare with textured silicon combined with living rubber for both movement and flash and some other extra vibration with the textured skirting, all with a yet to be named new pattern and copper blade colorway. Like other Slayers it generated some big bites 🫏🔥🐟

Hit the water with @christianostranderfishing to see how he approaches new water with a variety of different baits including a trio of conventional plastics, hollow bodied frogs, and reaction baits. Checked out his unconventional giant vibrating jig and swimbait setup combo of the Donkey Slayer and @grattbaits Executioner 7” weedless setup and it crushed.

Working on an article on Christian’s approach, the Gen 2 Donkey Slayers, and fishing deep with this setup.

Out this morning on the #californiadelta with a low incoming tide & the #donkeyslayer kept producing one big fish after another. This week’s low tidal coefficients & small high tides have the big girls sitting on the outside weed lines waiting on a big meal at tide switches.
