People often get confused on how someone they know who is well outspoken and confident could feel fear 😆.

This confusion stems from mixed up understanding or no understanding of what confidence is and what fear is.

This carousel bridges that gap in understanding and gives you clear insight of what both are.
What they stand for and their job in our lives.

Many people are always confused.
This is not a regular kind of confusion, it's the type that carries no knowledge of what you are actually looking at.

For instance, you are hungry, you know you're hungry. So you can easily get food. Even if you get confused about what to eat, you identify your hunger problem.

But this type of confusion, you don't know what is actually going on with you.
Something is off, yes! But what is it? That; you can't explain.

This carousel helps you understand why you feel this way and why you don't know what you want.

Mental Exhaustion stems from excessive and prolonged exposure to stress. physical or psychological stress.

The sad part of it, is that most people are not aware of this condition.
They are fatigued , they don't know why. The next thing is to begin self judgement of how they did not meet up with their goal even though it seemed too little and required small efforts.

All you need is a break, a vacation, or just indoor relaxation without thinking about the piles of work on your table.

Oftentimes, we feel so much going on inside of us but we can't fathom, name, identify what they are. Neither do we understand what's happening with us.

We end up settling for the available information which most times is rooted in self blame and condemnation. It makes it impossible to seek out the right answers we need.

But over here, we will help you understand and identify those tiny bits of struggles that seem like nothing on the outside because we lack words to truly express how we feel..

You will understand yourself better, your emotions, actions and why things happen just the way they do. by @metaphorpsychofficial

What happened to you as a child was never your fault.

The adults in your life were responsible for protecting, providing for, and nurturing you.

If they failed at it, that is not on you. There is nothing you did as a child that justified the abuse your experienced.

Abuse is never a consequence for bad behaviour. by @metaphorpsychofficial

One thing we don't get to talk about as much as we should is the fact that family can be both a source of strength or pain.

While family is a great thing to have, if you do not prioritize your well-being, you may find yourself drowning in your bid to meet the expectations of your family without meeting your own expectations.

You do not need to discard family unless they have shown consistently that they are out to cause you pain.

What you need more than anything is to set boundaries and maintain balance.

Know when to take a break, when to catch your breath and when to say "this doesn't work for me".

If you need help figuring out a way to set boundaries with family without guilt, let's talk in our DM.

We are here to support you. by @metaphorpsychofficial

I know you are very good at showing up for your friends and the people in your life.

You are that one reliable person that they can trust to come through for them.

It's a great quality to be reliable but let me ask you, who shows up for you?

Who pours into your cup?

Who helps you unburden when your heart is heavy?

Do you have anybody that you can be vulnerable with or do you have to always be strong because you can't trust anybody to show up for you, the way you show up for others?

That's right! Let that sit with you for a moment.

And if your answer is no, then do not delay a second further.

Get into our DM and let's chat.

We are here to give you that safe space where you can be vulnerable and unburden. by @metaphorpsychofficial

Let's do a breathing exercise.

Sit comfortably. Keep your back straight, shoulders relaxed, and hands resting on your knees.
Close your eyes if you can.

Now follow along.

Breathe in slowly through your nose for 4 seconds. Let the air fill your chest and belly.

Hold that breath for 4 seconds. Don't strain. Just stay still.

Breathe out gently through your mouth for 4 seconds. Let everything go.

Hold again for 4 seconds. Empty. Quiet. Steady.

That's one round. You can do four, ten or as many as you need.

It's called box breathing because each side of the box is the same: 4, 4, 4, 4.

Equal in. Equal out. Equal pause.

Why does this work?

→ It calms your nervous system in real time. Your heart rate slows. Your blood pressure eases.

→ It pulls you out of panic. When anxiety rises, your breath goes shallow. Box breathing reverses that, deliberately.

→ It clears your head. Navy SEALs use it before high-pressure operations. So do surgeons, athletes, and first responders. Not because it's trendy, but because it works.

→ It improves focus and emotional regulation. You make better decisions when you're not breathing like you're being chased.

→ It helps you sleep. A few rounds before bed signals your body that the day is done.

→ It's free. It's portable. No app. No equipment. Just you and your breath.
You don't need a crisis to use it. Use it in traffic. Before a hard conversation. Between meetings. First thing in the morning. Last thing at night.

The breath is one of the few things in your body you can control consciously. That makes it one of the most powerful tools you own.

Start with one round today. Just one. by @metaphorpsychofficial

Therapy is not a couch. It is not an hour of your childhood story. It is all that and much more.

It is a deep conversation that allows you to be safely vulnerable, to be seen, to be heard and to pour out your heart and your burden.

We are here to make the experience pleasant for you.

Just send us a DM and we let's take it up from there. by @metaphorpsychofficial
