🔥 Is cortisol burning you out?

Cortisol often gets called the “stress hormone,” but it isn’t the enemy. Your body naturally releases cortisol to help you respond to stress, regulate energy, and stay alert.

The problem can come when stress becomes chronic and your body rarely gets a chance to fully recover.

Over time, ongoing stress may show up as:
😴 Trouble sleeping or waking up tired
⚡ Feeling “wired but tired”
🧠 Brain fog or difficulty concentrating
😣 Increased tension and irritability
🍫 Changes in appetite or cravings
💪 Slower recovery from workouts or everyday aches

Think of your stress response like an alarm system. It’s incredibly useful when you need it—but you don’t want the alarm ringing 24/7.

The goal isn’t to “get rid of cortisol.” It’s to give your body more opportunities to move out of fight-or-flight and into rest, recovery, and repair.

Small things matter: consistent sleep, regular movement, balanced nutrition, time outdoors, relaxation, and taking care of the physical stress your body is carrying.

💙 Feeling burned out, run down, or like your body just isn’t recovering the way it used to? Let’s talk about ways to support your overall health and get you moving in the right direction.

Last Saturday, we brought the 🔥 to Lake Country Health Center for a pop-up camp—and the weather brought the 🌧️. But not even rain (or a surprise speed round 😅) could stop this crew from showing up and showing OUT!

Huge shoutout to Dr. Brandon for leading the charge—yep, he didn’t just host it… he TOOK the camp, too! 💪

Thanks for having us—we’ll be back! 💙 by @meyeb42
