From concept to experience.

Bringing our airport duty free competition concept to life through architectural animation.

Following our previous posts exploring the champagne and whisky environments, this final instalment brings the spaces together in motion, revealing the atmosphere, materiality and details that still images can only begin to capture.

From sculptural lighting and bespoke retail displays to the interplay of finishes, reflections and movement, the animation offers a different perspective on the design and the experience of moving through it.

The final part of our three-part series exploring premium airport retail design.

Duty free, but make it champagne.
A concept for a premium airport spirits space, created as part of an interiors competition.
At the centre of the scheme is a champagne bar designed to feel more like a destination than a piece of retail furniture. The illuminated canopy, suspended glassware and circular bottle display all work together to draw you into the space, with the wider retail environment sitting behind it.
First of three posts from the project. This one is all about the hero space and the details around the bar.

The workplace experience starts at the front door.

For the final part of our look at 31 Wellington Street, the focus moves to the ground floor — where arrival, hospitality and wellbeing become part of the everyday workplace experience.

Designed by @axi_studioinsta, the reception moves well beyond the traditional office lobby. Layered stone, timber, glazed tiles, soft furnishings and warm lighting create an arrival space that feels closer to hospitality than corporate reception, with places to pause, meet and work woven into the journey through the building.

Alongside it, the dedicated gym and fitness facilities make wellbeing part of the architecture rather than simply an added amenity — a direction increasingly defining the next generation of premium workplaces.

Across all three sets of images, our role at @mform_visualisation has been to communicate the atmosphere of the scheme while staying disciplined about what is actually being designed and built. We work with AI where it adds value, but never rely on it at the expense of scale, materiality or architectural accuracy.

The workplace is becoming a destination.

At 31 Wellington Street, @axi_studioinsta brings together the language of workplace, hospitality and home to create spaces designed for far more than simply sitting at a desk.

Open ceilings and exposed services are balanced by warm timber, textured finishes, soft curtains, planting and residential-style furniture, creating a workplace that moves naturally between focused work, collaboration and social space.

For us, visualisation is about communicating that experience while remaining firmly grounded in the design. AI can be a valuable part of the process, but never a substitute for architectural accuracy. Scale, materials, detailing and spatial relationships all need to remain true to what is actually intended to be built.

The result is imagery that goes beyond illustrating a concept, giving designers and developers a much more reliable picture of how the finished space will look and feel.

31 Wellington Street, Leeds — 01/03

A workplace amenity space designed around material, atmosphere and connection.

For the eighth floor at 31 Wellington Street, @axi_studioinsta has developed a series of spaces that move between work, meeting, hospitality and social use without feeling overtly corporate.

Warm timber, deep glazed tiles, terrazzo, textured upholstery and planting create a rich but controlled material palette, while changes in flooring, lighting and furniture establish distinct zones within the open plan.

The relationship between the interior and the city beyond becomes increasingly important at this level, with the internal spaces opening directly onto the rooftop terrace and views across Leeds.

Less corporate. More character.

Closing our series on the proposed ground-floor redevelopment of Mereside at Alderley Park, these final visuals and animation explore the workplace as a layered, experience-led destination.

A vibrant café and social hub encourage connection, while private focus booths provide space to step away and concentrate. Statement artwork, expressive furniture, integrated planting and atmospheric lighting give the reception a distinctive identity that continues from day into evening.

A workplace designed not simply for arriving and leaving, but for meeting, focusing, pausing and belonging.

The office as a destination.

A closer look at the proposed ground-floor redevelopment of Mereside at Alderley Park, where hospitality-inspired breakout spaces, adaptable work settings and a landscaped terrace create new opportunities to work, meet and recharge.

Layered planting, tactile materials, sculptural lighting and a warm, residential palette bring a softer, more human character to the workplace—connecting the interior with its lakeside setting.
