Well, it’s official! As of today, I have FOUR books available wherever books are sold! 😁 Today is the official release day of my fourth book ‘Pantheon: The Welsh’. This book explores the concept of Deity and Polytheisn within a specifically Welsh perspective. Exploring how Welsh stories, myth, lore, and history continues to inspire modern day spiritual practices, magic, and polytheism. In part a book that provides a foundational understanding of Welsh Deities for modern day polytheists, pagans, and witches. And also an encyclopaedic style guide to a variety of spirits, deities, characters, and entities from Welsh myth, lore, and magic. You can get your hands on Pantheon: The Welsh wherever books are sold now! 😁 and don’t forget to tag me in a photo if you get it!! I love seeing my books in your hands! Makes me all giddy and a little moist 🤭 by @mhara_starling
Book Announcement! Here it is! My second book! I can finally announce that my second book is… Welsh Fairies: A Guide to the Lore, Legends, Denizens & Deities of the Otherworld Fairies was a topic I covered in one chapter of my first book. But even then I knew I wanted to explore the topic of Welsh fairy lore at a greater depth. And that is what this book is! An exploration of fairies from a purely Welsh cultural context. More than just an exploration of fairies, this book will provide you with an insight into the otherworld, Annwfn, as well as many beloved deities associated with the otherworld such as Gwyn ap Nudd. It also explores the intersection between fairy belief and folk magic. I have always loved fairies. From the moment I could speak I voiced my love for fairy lore. I still remember my very first day of primary school, when my teachers Miss. Owen and Miss. Parry asked me what kind of things I liked and I responded with “Gwrachod, Môr-Forynion, a Tylwyth Teg!” (witches, mermaids, and fairies!). From that day on they introduced me to books on the topic of folklore, magic, and myth from an entirely Welsh perspective. That nudge led me to where I am today! Writing about these topics that I love dearly. I cannot wait for you to be able to read this! The book is up for Pre Order in the US now! Published by @llewellynbooks you can pre order it directly via their website! Releasing in Autumn 2024. I cannot wait for this book to be out in the world! by @mhara_starling
Reviews are starting to appear online for Welsh Witchcraft…and I am so touched by the kind words 🖤 Remember that leaving reviews for books on sites such as Amazon and Goodreads helps authors more than you know! 🖤 a five star review can help boost our books in the algorithms of selling sites and in turn that means it reaches more people. I know that many people don’t like to purchase from Amazon (and I fully understand that!) but the wonderful thing is you don’t have to purchase on Amazon to review a book on there! Once you have read Welsh Witchcraft, it would mean so much to me if you could leave a review online. I also just want to thank everyone for the wonderful messages and posts I’ve been tagged in lately. So many of you have now received your copy! It’s magical to see that the book is resonating with many. Available now in the US and Canada - releasing in the UK and elsewhere early March. You can order the book from pretty much anywhere books are sold! I highly recommend asking your local independent book seller if they’d be happy to order it in for you! That way you’re supporting me and a small business! by @mhara_starling

What better way to spend a rainy autumnal day than in a 15th century house, sharing the magic and traditions of Cymru and Calan Gaeaf with folks?! 😁 Today I was at Tŷ Aberconwy in Conwy, a historic building (and one of the oldest houses in Wales!) as part of their Calan Gaeaf event. I was there with @rowynnellis today for a “meet the author/illustrator” event. We discussed Calan Gaeaf, divination, and Welsh myth and lore. We both sold books. Rowynn helped visitors to draw creatures from Welsh folklore or to create shadow puppets, and I helped people learn about the magic of our culture. We even got to see Rowynn’s newest Mari Lwyd pin design. They’re ready for the winter ahead as Mari begins to stir from her slumber! It was a fabulous turn out! Despite the storm rolling in. If you missed it and you’re feeling serious FOMO, I’ll be delivering a fun evening talk here this coming Thursday, October 29th. The talk will be predominantly in Welsh, but with enough bilingual elements scattered so that learners will be more than able to follow along too! Why not come along? It’s free! Details are up on the Tŷ Aberconwy website now. by @mhara_starling
