Michael Neff has spent decades inside the swings of the world’s best players. His technology—Gears—doesn’t just watch the club. It measures the body, the shaft, and the motion in 3D. What he finds often surprises even the players themselves.

In this episode, Neff joins me at Bandon Dunes to share the lie angle fix that turned Billy Horschel’s season from seven missed cuts to a win. He explains why Cam Smith stopped hitting driver on certain holes—and won the British Open. He breaks down how a steep, unusual swing helped Chris Gotterup win twice in five months. He reveals the truth about shaft torque and why almost everything you’ve heard is wrong. And he talks about what college players get wrong about scoring—and what tour players do differently.

If you’ve ever hit a bad shot and felt like everything was broken, this conversation will change how you think about your game.
