Back home in the range of light! Yesterday @michaelpedre and I went for a day mission to the Whitney zone to try and repeat @berndzeugswetter ‘s route on the Fourth Needle from 2010, “East Face” 5.12-, 10 pitches. We were shut down by the crux, the pins were falling out of the thin seam and unfortunately, unequipped with a hammer, Mija had to down climb back to the belay. Freezing in the shade and on the verge of bailing, we decided to try and go around left of the huge roof, and see if we could connect the final terrain to the summit. To our delight we found 4 more pitches of splitter hand and finger cracks in the 5.11 range that took us to the top. What a day! 🙌🏽

June 8th Denali WB expedition!

Few days since I got back from my second Denali trip, this spring.
I had a great trip with my co-guide @mike_poleto guiding Prajit through @mountaintrip.
I wanted to thank you my friend @markpostle and @evokeendurance for trusting me with one of your clients.
@katesrealfood for having me as one of their ambassadors and giving me the fuel that I need in my life.
@outmap.pro for helping me with the navigation on the mountain.
Thank you to all the friends and people that I crossed paths through the season!

This is not flexing.

I just ran my favorite distance in a time that makes me feel proud of myself. Running a 5K in under 20 minutes is not easy, and beyond the physical ability, it was my mind that carried me through today. My parents and life taught me to never give up, and that the only real ending is death—which I hope comes in about 50 more years haha.

This is a message to all my friends on this platform. These have been tough times, and I’ve had to lean on friends, family, and all my loved ones. I’m grateful to everyone who has been there for me and helped me through this process.

Running, for me, is the way I can meditate and let go of all my thoughts, sadness, anger, and energy, and in the end feel empty so I can keep going and start again. For the first time in my life, I dare to say that I’m going through a period of depression and a feeling of being lost. I sought help from a professional therapist, and also from many “therapists of life”—those who have known me since I was a baby, a child, a teenager, and now an adult.

The message is simple: in these last days of 2025, I want to leave behind everything I know is not good for me, and start 2026 with new horizons and a clear mind. Most of the people who read this have the chance to go outside and connect with nature—do it. Seek your well-being, and if you need help… I’m here for you.

Those who know me know that I love climbing, but running is one of the tools that helps me the most to free my mind and release the energy I carry inside, whether it’s good or bad. Usually, after running, I feel empty and able to start again.

Take advantage of the end of this year and use 2026 as a new beginning.
And again… if you need someone to listen to you… I’m here. by @michaelpedre

First day out swinging tools w/ mi hermano @michaelpedre in Bozeman, MT! Stoked to finally be checking out this venue. It’s been long overdue.

We explored Hyalite Canyon today and climbed on “The Astroid” and “The Comet” over on the East Fork. Super fun, but still quite lean it seems like. Swung my tools into rock many times. Good thing we brought a file!

Wonder what we’ll climb tomorrow?? by @michaelpedre
