I would like to announce my commitment to Life University! I am extremely grateful for everything my family and friends have done to support me and help me grow as both an athlete and a person

I would like to especially thank my parents for all the time, dedication, and sacrifices they have made throughout my journey as an athlete. I could not be more grateful to have such supportive parents who give their all to support my goals in life. All the flights, long drives, team dinners, and late nights they spent to make sure I was happy and successful mean more than I can explain. They have been with me every step of the way — through the ups and downs, weight cuts, meals after weigh-ins, and even my grumpiness during cuts. They have never once failed to support me, and I am beyond thankful for them.

And thank you to the Flavins for inviting me to their university to visit, I am extremely grateful for the experience and the opportunity I was given.

I am looking forward to building this future with Life University and the people I will meet along the way.

Just like that she has left the nest to chase her dreams and aspirations. Leila earned this opportunity by working harder than most could imagine and doing things the right way. It’s takes courage above all else to leave your comfort zone and take that leap of faith so to speak. To purposely seek out a greater challenge for your mind, body, and soul. We are so proud and excited for Leila as she officially begins her new chapter at Life University. 💚🦅💚 by @leilaw1324

USA Women's National Duals 2026 in Indiana
4 days of national wrestling
Greco Roman & Freestyle
Leila's final competition before starting her college career.
Just the eye test alone puts her in rare company since not many wrestle like she does with speed, strength, tenacity, grit, and the let it fly attitude.
Fearless and not afraid to open up her toolbox at any moment, Leila showed why she has been given the opportunity to wrestle at the next level.
The footage speaks for itself

Meilani reels in the final 6th grade student of the month award to cap off a highly successful first year in middle school.
Proud teary eyed moment when she writes how much she looks up to her sister.
As Leila paves the way Meilani takes on her own journey striving to set and accomplish her goals.
Couldn’t be prouder of these girls. by @leilaw1324

The culmination of four years has brought us here on June 4th 2026.
Years that have granted growth and monumental achievements.
All earned with discipline and dedication.
Words that should not be taken lightly for we wouldn’t be here today without them.
May they carry us into the next chapter with old friends lost, friends gained and new friends to come.

Believe me when I say that Leila has learned from it all and that is all we could ask for at the very least.
Live and learn so they say.
And let us take the good, the bad, and everything in between with a grain of the salt of the earth for it tastes bitter sweet to the parent.

A childhood ends and a young adult “life” begins💚
Congratulations Leila
You did it!
We love you! by @leilaw1324

Athlete Of The Year 2026

Empowerment!

At Peninsula High School with the unwavering support of @dr.djclovis , principal Dr. Garrity and the athletic department,
Leila was empowered to not only participate in a sport she had never played,
but to establish competitive dominance,
achieve statistical excellence,
And become “one of the greatest athletes in school history”

It was a honor in itself just to be mentioned with all the other great athletes and peers.
And to receive the Athlete Of The Year award further cements her astonishing legacy in the record books at Penn.

As her head raises high to see her banners hanging in the rafters of the gym, her feet remain planted firmly on the ground.
For she remains a humble and respectful person, captain, and champion. by @leilaw1324

Signing day!!!
A proud day to say the least.
A day not to be taken for granted as very few earn this prestigious and honorable opportunity.

Earn is the key word for this is a culmination of all that Leila has put into her craft affording her this moment.

As Life University gets her signature and commitment for the promising future,
Peninsula HS @dr.djclovis and esteemed faculty get our sincere gratitude for not only honoring this day but for supporting Leila through this moment.
Green and gold tomorrow!

2026 CAUSAW Association Duals Championship in Fresno CA

As the Avengers assembled for team LAWA Leila joined the ranks to lead a charge that brought the title back to Los Angeles solidifying them as the best team in the state.
Leila contributed any way she could moving up in weight and scoring multiple victories in both Greco Roman and Freestyle. Leila wrestled free and had fun wrestling with her girls and for some of her favorite coaches @calicoach73 @jared2448 @rlazaro32

Having already won so many individual awards and accolades, Leila truly looked the happiest sharing in the team victory with her well respected peers.

Such an honor and joy to witness her go out on top as she has wrestled her last HS matches in her home state of California.
