🎓 From a 5 year old girl who asked my dad “what is best school to go? And he said Harvard!” I dreamed of attending Harvard to walking across the stage to receive my Masters Degree 📜

It wasn’t straightforward path that I planned — it was longer, harder, filled with unexpected detours. But along the way, I found bigger purpose, met amazing people around the world and continued to gain more knowledge!

I don’t necessarily want to say dreams come true but rather YOU MAKE YOUR DREAMS COME TRUE ⭐️ It’s about never giving up, even when the dream felt far away.

📸 Huge shout out to talented @thatkaguruguy ! If anyone wants their photoshoot done - Highly recommended ☺️

So…this happened:Promotion to Fiancé💍

If you want to hear the long version ….Here you go 🫶:
Despite life’s chaos- here is a special moment we want to share! Early in our relationship- Joe mentioned that when he wants to propose he wanted to do it at the Empire State Building like in a movie he likes… fast forward now that we are both in NYC - before departure I thought he might(?) do it in there but he said “Oh, Empire State Building background has wires and you won’t like it so it wouldn’t happen in #NYC ”. There was more to this & I was completely convinced.

Then on our second last night he proposed in Dumbo, with the view of the Manhattan bridge. You can still see the Empire State Building through the bridge & this happened at one of my favourite locations in NYC. I was just completely surprised 😮 almost forgot to say yes & just gave my fingers so I can still take the ring 😂💍 then said… YES!

Huge thank you to @to_b_better_ & @h_jav1nyc for taking our pictures and sharing this moment with us ♥️🫶 by @michelle_lyfe

This year, I had the incredible opportunity to organize the World Federation of United Nations Associations (WFUNA) Plenary Assembly and World Congress in Geneva, Switzerland 🇨🇭🇺🇳

From working at the United Nations Headquarters in Geneva to hosting the World Congress at the World Health Organization (WHO), coordinating with international delegates, and inviting high-level guests and speakers it was truly a dream come true! ✨

Bringing together UN Associations, diplomats, global leaders, and civil society representatives from around the world, we explored the future of multilateralism and the role of the United Nations in addressing today’s global challenges.

Behind these moments were months of preparation, countless emails, meetings, and teamwork. Seeing everything come together was incredibly rewarding.

It was so amazing to see ofcourse our UN Association Canada represented in so many of these discussion and spaces! 🇨🇦

Grateful to my team, colleagues and everyone who made this experience possible (You know who you are 🙌🏼). A reminder that the work we do behind the scenes can help create meaningful spaces for global dialogue and collaboration 💙 by @michelle_lyfe

Changdeokgung (at night! 🌒)

We were lucky to be randomly selected from a lottery system for a special night at the palace for a tour of some private sections, traditional music and snacks!
The moonlight guided tour started at 7:00pm for us and we were given lanterns. It was bright enough that this wasn’t necessary yet, but soon we were strolling among the gorgeous architecture using said lanterns to light our way. The atmosphere was peaceful and our guide was excellent. We even got meet some royalty 😏

Make sure to check out the “🇰🇷 Music” story highlights to see some of the traditional music!
