Hey y’all, I’m Mickayla!

I’m an aspiring author, avid reader, and fangirl extraordinaire.

If you’re looking for an action-packed YA dystopian series with a clean slowburn romance than you’re in the right place because I’m currently writing book 1 of that series! 🗡️🥸🥀🌲❤️‍🩹

I’ll also be sharing my reading reactions (& recommendations) so we can all fangirl together. 📚🤓

So follow along and join me as we turn the page and dive into the world of stories! 📖✨

Anyone else just plain tired? Working on some big writing goals this month but only 5 days in and November is kicking my butt!

This is where we all trust the process… right?😂

If you’re searching for your next YA Dystopian story that contains a deadly virus, an old war, found family, and a slow burn worth swooning over… then stick around! You’re going to love my WIP!

It’s Halloween so I’m curious to know, what does your main character fear the most?👀

Just a group of bookish besties who occasionally clean up nice. 💅🏻😂

We might spend most of our time talking about fictional men, plotting emotional damage, and enabling each other’s bookish addictions, but we know how to make an entrance. 🤭🖤

I highly recommend attending a book ball with your writing group. 10/10 memories, and you never know when you might need the first hand experience for your writing!

The Literate Ladies took on the Twisted Midnight Ball, and let’s just say… WE UNDERSTOOD THE ASSIGNMENT! 🖤✨

The dresses, the dancing, the wings, the characters, THE WHOLE EXPERIENCE!! 😍 We got all dressed up, stepped into our fantasy era, and had an absolute blast!

There’s just something about getting to experience nights like this with your favorite bookish besties. So many laughs, so many pictures, and memories we’ll be talking about for a LONG time! 🥹🖤

10/10 would absolutely do it again! 🦇✨
