“Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Don’t let your heart be troubled or fearful.” John 14:27 God isn’t someone you only need in desperate times of pain&suffering. All testimonies are beautiful and unique and most typically revolve around finding Jesus during a dark time.… I would even say that was the case for me. During a hard time, I reached out to God desperately. And he heard me and helped me just as a loving father would… However it wasn’t until many months later that I truly PURSUED my relationship with him. And by this point my life was “smooth sailing”. You could called it a “perfect” life as an outsider looking in. For instance you on social media, viewing the portions of my life that I share, would probably think I have a perfect life. But in reality I was struggling mentally. Yes I have all these blessings and live a beautiful life but I was mentally trapped. I dealt with overbearing thoughts that would keep me up at night and burden my happiness during the day. I felt uptight & tense while juggling so many different aspects of my life. Managing being a mother, wife, work, gym, cleaning, family relationships, and more. It wasn’t until I PURSUED my relationship with God and fully surrendered these heavy loads that were weighing on my heart to him that found true peace. And now I’m at a place where I can live my BLESSED life with Jesus by my side. Allowing me to take on all that life throws at me while having a sense of PEACE that only Jesus can give to you.🤍 #walkinfaith #womenofgod #womenoffaith #jesus #testimony #christian #walkwithjesus #jesuschrist #truepeace #bible #faithjourney #anxiety #mentalfreedom #john by @mightymady

I show up 5x per week as a promise to myself. I let God lead me in my fitness journey, the same as all other areas of my life. Over the years of walking with Jesus, He has refined how I view my body, training, eating, etc. He has given me a heavenly perspective about these things. I find that the discipline it takes to show up everyday pushes me closer to Jesus. His love was (and is) sacrificial and I have come to learn that suffering for Jesus (however severe, and by ZERO means only in the gym😂🫢) is what ignites our hearts again & again for HIM! We get one body to serve God and others on this earth! May we learn to steward ours well that we may be ready to be used by our Father at any time! Health is wealth! Physically, mentally, spiritually, and emotionally. (2 Timothy 2:20-21) “In a wealthy home some utensils are made of gold and silver, and some are made of wood and clay. The expensive utensils are used for special occasions, and the cheap ones are for everyday use. If you keep yourself pure, you will be a special utensil for honorable use. Your life will be clean, and you will be ready for the Master to use you for every good work.” ‭‭2 Timothy‬ ‭2‬:‭20‬-‭21‬ ‭NLT‬‬ “And since we are his children, we are his heirs. In fact, together with Christ we are heirs of God’s glory. But if we are to share his glory, we must also share his suffering.” ‭‭Romans‬ ‭8‬:‭17‬ ‭NLT‬‬ “For you have been given not only the privilege of trusting in Christ but also the privilege of suffering for him.” ‭‭Philippians‬ ‭1‬:‭29‬ ‭NLT‬‬ “Yet what we suffer now is nothing compared to the glory he will reveal to us later.” ‭‭Romans‬ ‭8‬:‭18‬ ‭NLT‬‬ #momswholift #christian #faithandfitness #wordofgod #discipleofchrist by @mightymady
