After flying through the night, we landed in Amsterdam. We went on a canal tour, ate strooowaffles, looked at some sex workers (No pictures!), and got real tired. by @mike.rdickson

Had a great time seeing @gratefuldrag with my old pal Matt last night in Raleigh. by @mike.rdickson
We touched some baby grey whales! At Laguna Ojo de Liebre (Eye of the Hare Lagoon), curious month-and-a-half-old calves and their mothers sometimes approach panga boats and were allowed to interact with them. We also travelled through the world’s largest open air salt mine, visited Las Dunas de Soledad (Dunes of Solitude), and El Refugio de Aves. I also had really good fish tacos. I’ve never enjoyed seafood so much. Baja has been as amazing as @gail_force_winds13 said it would be. #GailAndMikeTravel by @mike.rdickson
Yesterday we travelled overland to the Pacific side of the peninsula. With stops in Heroica Mulegé and San Ignacio, we ended the night in Guerrero Negro. Mulegé was the sight of the only successful repulsion of US imperialist pigs in Baja during the Mexican American War. The scenery was gorgeous, but my photos did not do it justice. #GailAndMikeTravel by @mike.rdickson
More wildlife yesterday. Blue whales, humpback whales, blue footed boobies, and the always ridiculous sea lion. #GailAndMikeTravel by @mike.rdickson
Greetings from Loreto, Baja California Sur, México. Yesterday, we headed out into the Gulf of California to see blue whales. Apparently, we saw the world’s only known albino or leucistic one, but we didn’t know it at the time. Researchers from around the world have been clamoring to see it. We hung out on Isla Carmen and had ceviche. On the way back, a pod of bottlenose dolphins showed off for us. Then we hung out in town and learned some history. This town was the original seat of power for the entirety of California during the Spanish colonization. The Misión de Nuestra Señora de Loreto Conchó dates from 1697. # GailAndMikeTravel by @mike.rdickson
Look out, Kleo! #GailAndMikeTravel by @mike.rdickson
Reverse chronology for yesterday’s adventures! The reason for our trip was the 1-2) wedding of the lovely Dave and the strong Jessica. A wonderful ceremony, followed by the coolest wine bar, and then an amazing dinner. I think the setting was perfect despite being rained out of the outdoor venue. 3) The Gordon House, Oregon’s only home designed by Frank Lloyd Wright. 4-7) Silver Falls State Park, the crown jewel of the Oregon State Parks system. There are 10 falls, but time and rain only afforded us the opportunity to see 3. #gailandmiketravel by @mike.rdickson
1-2) We stopped in Springfield and had lunch with friends. Then, 3-5) downtown McMinnville is loaded with tasting rooms from local wineries, 6-7) My favorite decor from our lodging. #gailandmiketravel by @mike.rdickson
