I'm drippin' ultra-swag.
Blada-bing, blada-boom! by @mikeinvictus

As we anticipate unprecedented action on 7/04 to demonstrate our firm, unremitting resolve to provoke meaningful and lasting change in the social justice space, let's reiterate our demands to excise the Slavery Clause from our nation's Constitution.

The Slavery Clause is the keystone to toxic foundational thinking that permits the continued exploitation, oppression, and enslavement of others.

This runs contrary to the original purpose for our union, which was to fight and challenge tyranny and subjugation.

Lawmakers who identify as allies should not fear debating the merits of this anti-slavery clause amendment proposal. TRUTH & JUSTICE will repel and neutralize any invective or counter-arguments presented by your political opponents and expose their antiquated notions.

I am revolted by those who stand shoulder-to-shoulder in defense of a supposedly vanquished Antebellum Order.

From the ivory tower of privilege and/or blinded by bias, they can never fully comprehend the entire scope and depth of the problem.

It is my fervent hope that they cede to the demands of WE THE PEOPLE, their humble constituents by effectuating mitigating changes; as our future depends largely upon it.

All of His creations are imperfect, but it would be abominable for humanity to not employ His gifts of perspacity, discernment, transformation, and unity to polish out those unsightly salient, rough edges.

To this I pray.

IN GOD WE TRUST by @mikeinvictus

As someone who has been in the trenches, I support BLM's efforts to liberate Black people from systemic injustice; however, from the outset of the Trayvon Martin case, I have often wondered how this urgent mission can be actualized without directing our energies into perpetual problems contributing to death rates and over-incarceration. This includes POC on POC violence.

On top of being vigilant for LEO presence, we also find ourselves on swivel for the "opp". I understand that it's a dog-eat-dog world sometimes, but there has to be a better way.

Early in my street career, I had ambitions to broker a truce between rival neighborhoods in N. Sac, and then, if successful, somehow spreading the gospel of unity to "South Side Iraq". Idealism aside, I still cling to that dream.

Our calls for justice today is something of a paradox, it brings us together, yet, those who are most affected and vulnerable, continue to terrorize and oppress each other. We can't accomplish one without the other. It's time to wake our game up and be brutally honest about this pernicious truth.

The message that adheres to me most from my time in prison is one that I heard many times from guys of varied backgrounds and affiliations: "DON'T COME BACK--WE DON'T NEED YOU IN HERE!!" Some of them are condemned to a lifetime of imprisonment and wish they could have another chance. They regret the poor choices that they made...the pain, harm, and destruction they caused in their communities and inflicted on their families.

They are the ones suffering the most.

Let's learn from their mistakes and introspection and use their message as a clarion call for change, healing, and reconciliation.

True and righteous leadership is lacking where it's needed the most, so step up and fill that void by walking the walk, talking the talk.

R.I.P. to the real ones and props to those fighting the good fight.

ONE LUV, Y'ALL! by @mikeinvictus

Thank you @puente.az! Your work here in Arizona is both critically important and a godsend.

Trial by fire, trial by faith--in continuum.
Fracturing my hip has been my most humbling, agonizingly painful, unimaginably horrific, and fraught-filled ordeal to date. The medical professionals are hopeful that my dedication to health and fitness over the past 20 years could factor into staving off the onset of avascular necrosis, but it's all in God's hands now. I have no choice but to embrace it for what it is and trust in the plan. Please keep me in your prayers, y'all! by @mikeinvictus

Had the opportunity to see and hang out with some of the old work crew. We talked about quarks, caramelized onions, and unleashed our uninhibited natural selves upon one other with spontaneous hugs and well wishes. by @mikeinvictus

$Leave it to mommas to spearhead noble movements such as M.A.D.D., Black Lives Matter, et al. The Phoenix City Council has fascinated me as of late; mainly because the ruling body's majority recently shifted to the fairer sex's advantage--and they mean business! City Councilman Sal DiCiccio, a fiscal conservative serving his final term, opted to not physically attend today's Council meeting convened to explore viable options for the construction of a Civilian Police Oversight Committee. Instead, he chose to participate by phone. I thought this to be a pseudo-classy form of protest. Here is his only comment. He clearly opposes the notion that this could be beneficial for the community. In addition, he framed Mayor Kate's efforts to restore public trust as discrediting embattled Police Chief Jeri Williams's leadership abilities. Pitting woman against woman was Machiavellian--or maybe I'm reading too deep into it. I wonder if he's thought about how tough it must be for her to constantly contend with the police's powerful union. City Councilwoman Laura Pastor, a pillar in the community, fired back with a camera-worthy, spirited rebuttal. If I had to choose one person to advocate and argue for my life to be spared, I would pick her! Vice Mayor Waring (Bless his soul) has been so cloistered from reality that he actually believes that planting false evidence is something that only happens in TV dramas, "...like NYPD Blue..." This might be a classic example of how book smarts don't measure up to street smarts. I met Marti, a grandmother who was thrashed by a male police officer so severely that she was in ICU for 4 days suffering from brain hemorrhaging, acute subdural hematoma, & 4 fractures to the front and back of her skull. It was evident that she had been seriously traumatized. For some reason, she chose me to unload on about what had happened to her and sit next to. It was the coolest part of my day! She indignantly complained that the issue of police brutality seems to have been appropriated by people of color and cogently explained that this effectively excludes Caucasian folks from the conversation and I told her that I agree with that sentiment. by @mikeinvictus$

It's sad that a campaign touted as Making America Great Again has degenerated into sowing discord, distrust and fear amongst the citizenry. I feel hoodwinked and outraged; but there is a silver lining here: this is a once-in-a-lifetime, divine opportunity to link minds and arms in solidarity and spread awareness of our firm resolve to be a singular nation of one people with one pulse marching to the same drumbeat. by @mikeinvictus

This bumper crop yielded a startling harvest...now thinking about what to do with all this abundance.

There was a relatively small turnout for today's Planned Parenthood rally at the AZ Capitol courtyard; nonetheless, collective outrage was palpable, making it an electrifying experience.
I'm sure we'll see more protests of this kind on a far greater scale. by @mikeinvictus

#Eureka!
The Dalai Lama engages each visitor like a big kid: slapping bald pates, grabbing onto one devotee’s single braid, waggling another’s nose. Every conversation is peppered with giggles and guffaws. “We 7 billion human beings — emotionally, mentally, physically — are the same,” he tells TIME in a 90-minute interview. “Everyone wants a joyful life.” by @mikeinvictus
