A little piece of my work that I don’t share nearly enough. 🎙️✨

I’ve had the opportunity to work on some amazing projects behind the mic, but this one felt a little different because it was for a project right here in my hometown of Baltimore ❤️

There’s something special about hearing your voice attached to a project connected to the community that helped shape you.

More voiceover work coming to the timeline because apparently I’ve been keeping this part of my creative journey way too quiet. 😂

🎙️ Voiceover by yours truly.

No husband, no sponsor, no sugar daddy, just a single mom of 3. This post isn't to make it seem like I have it all together because I don't! This post is a part of my testimony. If you had told me a year ago while dealing with depression and anxiety, worried about where I was going to live (I'll share more in another post).. that a year later, I'd be in a beautiful country that looked like a place on a postcard swinging on a tree I would've found it difficult to believe. I had faith but my faith was shaken. It was dark, it was days that I didn't want to even get up and move. A lot of tears, a lot of talks with God and a lot of gratitude strengthened my faith again to a point that I felt like I was being crazy, radical faith. I say this to anyone reading this if you're in a dark place, you are loved, you are valued, YOU have everything in YOU to succeed, JUST KEEP GOING 💛 by @milanj4real

I'm still on a mission to help other moms like me with a career that they can work from home that offers flexibility.

For a long time, I thought providing meant having all the answers.

It didn’t.

It meant figuring things out as I went.

As a single mom, there were so many moments when I didn’t know what the next step was going to look like. I just knew that my children were depending on me, and somehow I had to make it work.

So I worked. I tried different things. I made mistakes. I started over. I took opportunities that didn’t always work out the way I hoped they would.

And there were plenty of moments when I questioned whether I was doing enough.

But looking back, I realize something…

I was learning how to provide while I was learning how to rebuild my own life.

I didn’t have everything figured out.

I still don’t.

But I’ve learned that sometimes strength isn’t having a perfect plan.

Sometimes it’s simply getting up the next day and trying again.

This is Chapter 4 of my story.

And we’re still building.💛

Sometimes, “still building” doesn’t look like progress.

Sometimes it looks like taking a step back.
Sometimes it looks like being overwhelmed, not knowing what the next answer is, and trying to hold yourself together while also being strong for the people you love.

This week, I almost didn’t post.
I’ve been dealing with some difficult things in my family, and as a mom, when your child is hurting, it hurts in a place that’s hard to explain.
I didn’t know what to say to this community because I didn’t have a neat lesson or an inspiring ending.

I just had the truth…this week was hard….
and maybe that’s something I need to share too because when I said I was going to share my journey, I didn’t mean only the chapters where I figured everything out…. I meant the real ones, the uncertain ones, the ones where I’m still trying to figure out what comes next.
I’m learning that rebuilding doesn’t always mean moving forward at full speed. Sometimes rebuilding means taking a breath, sometimes it means giving yourself permission to pause, sometimes it means showing up imperfectly.
And sometimes it simply means saying…
I don’t know how this chapter ends yet, but I’m still here…
So if you’re going through a hard season right now, I hope you know you’re not failing because you don’t have it all figured out.
You can be tired and still be strong.
You can be uncertain and still have faith.
You can pause and still be moving forward.

This is Chapter 3.
And yes...
We’re still building. 💛

POV: You have a high school senior and thought you were financially prepared. 😂

Me: “We’re good. I’ve got this.”

Senior year: “Oh, you thought…” 😭😂

Because WHY does everything have a senior fee?!

At this point, I need a spreadsheet, a payment plan, 7 jobs and possibly a small investor. 😂💸

But I’ll gladly complain while I celebrate because this is one of those seasons I know I’m going to miss someday.

And honestly I’m just a sponsor 😂
