Our tiny girl who changed everything.

💜 In memory of our baby girl, Thea-Dottie 💜

We initially started fundraising to purchase a Privacy Pram for Wythenshawe hospital after experiencing first hand how important privacy, dignity, and compassionate care are for bereaved families.

After losing Thea, we had to move wards while her daddy pushed her cot through the hospital corridors. During such over whelming grief this felt incredibly exposed. A Privacy Pram helps families move through the hospital with more privacy and dignity while keeping their baby close during those heartbreaking moments.

Thanks to the incredible kindness and generosity of so many people, we have reached our goal and have now begun the process of ordering a Privacy Pram for families experiencing baby loss at Wythenshawe Hospital.

The pram will feature a memorial plaque in honour of our baby girl, displaying her name Thea-Dottie Monaghan.

Our little girl has already made such a meaningful difference to the lives of others. We are so proud that her legacy will continue to bring comfort, dignity and privacy to families during some of their most difficult moments.

As we reached the first goal so quickly, we are continuing to fundraise for Wythenshawe hospital please see our GoFundMe page for our next project.

In our grief, we are trying to find purpose through our little girl by helping other families who will sadly walk this same path.

Thank you so much to everyone who has donated, shared our fundraiser, and supported us. Every contribution is helping us create something meaningful in Thea-Dottie’s memory. 💜

Goodnight, our darling girl ❤️‍🩹

From the moment you entered this world until the moment we had to let you go, you were surrounded by love. We brought you home where you belonged. For three precious weeks you were held, cuddled and kissed by your mummy, daddy, brother and the family who loved you.

We made every memory we could.
We treasured every moment we were given.

On the morning of your funeral you were surrounded by family. You were held, cuddled, kissed and passed around. In many ways it felt like the way a newborn is welcomed into a family after birth.

Except this was at the end, not the beginning.

Mummy bathed you and dressed you for your final journey. Daddy placed you in your casket at home surrounded by your family.

We could not give you a lifetime, but we gave you all of our love for every second of yours.

Sleep peacefully, our sweet girl 💜 by @miles_monaghan

It’s taken me some time to find the words to share this. Last week, my partner and I experienced the devastating loss of our daughter, Thea-Dottie. Thea was born at 21 weeks and passed away a couple of hours later in my arms.

While we navigate our grief, we are trying to create something positive in her memory.

We initially set out to raise enough money for a Privacy Pram for Wythenshawe Hospital, something that would have made a huge difference to our own experience and will help other bereaved families move through the hospital with dignity and privacy after losing a baby.

Thanks to the incredible generosity of friends, family and complete strangers, we reached that goal in less than 24 hours.

We are now continuing our fundraising efforts to support further bereavement care at the hospital, helping other families who may sadly walk this same heartbreaking path create precious memories with their babies during the most difficult time of their lives.

If you would like to support our fundraiser or simply share our story, it would mean the world to us.

Thank you for your kindness, support, and for helping us honour our beautiful daughter, Thea. 🤍 by @miles_monaghan
