POSTS STORIES REELS

1 year ago, i signed up for this race alone. i did it out of sheer impulsiveness and a dream i didn’t even fully process until this weekend honestly. creating miles with mel to fundraise for this marathon opened up doors for me i didn’t even know existed. and now, ive been surrounded by people who i can genuinely call family. the endless love and support ive received from all of you brings me to tears (yes im crying as im typing this, why is my screen blurry 😂😂)

i do this for the version of myself who never thought she could. the version of myself who didn’t believe in herself or felt like she just wasn’t enough. to the little girl who was always the smallest on the soccer field and little girl who always strived for more.

to my family, you guys are my rock. my biggest fans even when i doubt myself. you pick me up when im down and i know you guys are always team mel.

thank you God for getting me to this race healthy and finishing in one piece, i am so beyond blessed.

if you’re reading this still, and have ever questioned yourself, i promise the best version of yourself is beyond the fears you’ve created in your mind. the mind is your most powerful tool, it’s just one foot in front of the other.

i love you all 🫂

my favorite part of the marathon was seeing my friends and family cheering me on, but hearing messages from those back home who couldn’t be there was the cherry on top 🥹

the nyc crowd was SO loud i literally had to cup my hands around my headphones to hear them 😭😭 best believe i downloaded these messages to keep forever 🫂 by @mileswitmel

tears were shed, dreams were met, aura was gained.
