a little personal piece;

sometimes I feel a disconnect between my adult self and my childhood self because of how different everything is now, like my environment, the people around me, even the food!! (my comfort). i put in some little granny squares i made last summer because they reminded me of the pieces my mom would make for me as a kid, a symbol of her love & care even when she couldn’t express it as well as she wanted to.

so anyways here’s a small drawing, old hei talkin to little baby hei who still wanted to be an accountant just like her mom.. oh how that would change! by @milkyhei

✨ I’ve just hit two months of interning at @blackmathtv in boston, and it has been nothing short of amazing so far! 🥕👾

I’m so grateful about everything I’ve learned and the incredible experiences I’ve had with this talented team even just two months into this internship. plus, getting to explore boston has been an added bonus ;)

I thought I’d share a little project I worked on at the start of my internship — an introduction to myself as one of the design/animation interns of the summer! it’s inspired by my silly experiences of catching geckos in cups back in florida 🦎🥤

but yes.. I’m truly grateful for the chance to keep pursuing my passion for creating designs, graphics, and animations in this industry. l look forward to continuing to grow, contribute, and see where this exciting journey leads with black math in the upcoming months! 🖤📐 by @milkyhei

caw. Caw caw? caw.

ok now that formalities are over, this is a lil refresh of some old 3d stuff I created while making some style explorations with @hannahngmotion ages ago for our futureproof branding! kinda crazy how we went from this, to something super bright, friendly and warm for the final :>

really loved spending a lil time playing with colours and bringing my doodley style into something a little more refined rather than being stuck in my journal! :-) by @milkyhei

trying something new! a lil loop, inspired by my winter travels :]

more exploration into using redshift, c4d and doing some 3D animation! had a lot of fun figuring out a more realistic lighting rig compared to my usual stylized stuff for sure :0

not (one single) thought behind those eyes.... +.+

my 3D now vs my first 3D project! hdri backgrounds are the BEST 🛐 (plus a little extra experiment at the end)

been having loads of fun playing around in c4d and octane, (mostly me going oooh... shiny.....🤍)

definitely want to do more tests and see how I can bring my personal art style into it more!
