Introducing my first collection made with all the love, a bit of sweat and even some tears 🪡😖 The previous owner of this quilt was Donna but Sue is likely not her middle name. I imagine Gramma Donna baking cookies with her grandkids and then snuggling up with this quilt to watch Angela Landsbury solve another mystery. I learned a lot sewing with Donna Sue. She gave us 2 quilt jackets, numerous patches, 1 zipper pouch, 1 tote bag (still to be sewn…), and 1 appliquéd sweatshirt. I’m so excited to share this collection with you all tonight (Sunday) at 8 pm EST #quiltjacket #upcycled #cottagecore #grandmacore #vintage by @milliesmitheveryday

This cozy hug of a sweatshirt has all the 90s nostalgia with the quilted panel of hearts in all the dusty blues and mauves. Help me name her! And stay posted because I’m dreaming up a giveaway! #thriftedfinds #cottagecore #upcycling #handmadewithlove by @milliesmitheveryday

I finally got some photos of my first official quilt jacket! She’s not for sale but I’m working on another one, so stay tuned! I’m trying out another pattern for the next one and she’s almost done! Pattern credit: L2CStudio Photo credit: RubyJane 💖 I’m curious…how much do you think a quilt jacket made with a vintage, handmade quilt should sell for? #quiltjacket #quiltcoat #cottagecoreaesthetic #grannychic #vintage by @milliesmitheveryday

My first estate sale haul wasn’t nearly as amazing as it could have been. :/ I was there 15 mins before it started but I wasn’t early enough! So many amazing antiques and quilts but the good ones were too expensive or already snatched up. I think my favorite find is the red/white polka dot tin container that will be for button storage ♥️ What tips do you have for thrift shopping at estate sales? #thrift #cottagecore #grannychic #estatesalefinds by @milliesmitheveryday

My first quilt jacket is done and I’m scared to release her to the wild… what if she’s not “good enough”? What if her flaws are picked apart by the masses? What if her stains and repaired holes from living her good ol’ life before she got in my hands aren’t treasured by the right person? What if this dream I’ve held in my heart for 17 years shrivels up and dies in the real world? by @milliesmitheveryday

I have been eyeing these beautiful quilt jackets all over social media lately and dreaming about making my own. 🧵✨I finally landed the most gorgeous preloved quilt that’s ready for her second season of life.💙🪡I’m just so nervous to make the first cut!! What else do you think I should make with these sweet lady? I’m dreaming about jackets, tote bags, giant bows to hang on the front door, patches to go on jeans…what else??? #thriftedhome #quiltedjacket #grannycore #cottagecoreaesthetic #sewing by @milliesmitheveryday

I can’t lie…this one was a chore. I thought I might keep her but I’m kind of tired of looking at her at this point 😂 Fits me so I’m guessing a size Large. She’ll be available at the @wearenorthrop craft bazaar next month! #upcycle #buttondownshirt #babydolldress #sewing by @milliesmitheveryday

This lovely was one of my hubby’s work shirts and I’ve always loved the pattern. I’ve seen other people upcycling these button down shirts by adding a ruffle collar so I thought I’d give it a try! I love how it turned out! Just wish it fit me! I’ll add it to my collection to bring to the craft bazaar sale next month if you want to try it for yourself! Size Small by @milliesmitheveryday

I started this quilt more than 15 years ago! 😬 there’s a ton I could say about it but I’d like to hear from you! What’s the oldest Work In Progress (WIP) that you have? Do you think you’ll ever finish it? #quilt #wip #quiltersgonnaquilt by @milliesmitheveryday

Pippin added a new veggie to his favorites list today! So far he loves cucumber, carrots, romaine lettuce and now sweet potatoes! What does your puppers like to eat? #havanese #dogsofinstagram #sweetpotato #dogmomlife #dogsofinsta by @milliesmitheveryday

I didn’t know just how much getting a dog would help my mental health… #havanese #puppylove #dog #dogmomlife by @milliesmitheveryday
