Busted out my trusty electric lunchbox and put on a cooking show for my colleagues in the office. We learned the importance of keeping lunch exciting and I even shared a top secret recipe for a tasty lil dish you can cook right at your desk... I call it Cubicle Curry! *Swipe left and start simmering #officecook #prisonfood #boydinner #poormanslunch #cubiclecurry by @milosees
Uganda, 2015 I remember landing at Entebbe without my bug spray. The taxi from the airport had so many mosquitos I could barely see the yellow. I had an oversize longsleeve I pulled over my head and an extra pair of socks for my hands. Thankfully the swarms subsided once we veered away from Lake Victoria and into the city.  This particular project was all about agrotechnology and banana production in Uganda. Agrotech… What a funny word - feels like a name better suited for the digital assault of this current era than the more innocuous act of growing healthier plants.  We saw bananas everywhere. In the markets. In the fields. In the labs. Some were even behind bars - bioengineered varieties that were under strict supervision before broader planting. A few operations were so covert I needed official press accreditation  before the starchy secrets were revealed. But of all the places I encountered bananas, my favorite was in the stews. The large cooking variety is called matooke and I dare you to find a simmering Kampala pot without a hearty batch in heat. Boiled, steamed, roasted - whatever preparation you can dream up. As a lover of comfort food, I couldn’t get enough of this delectable fare. Man, what I wouldn’t give for a mound of matooke smothered in a saucy pumpkin pourover… #uganda #matooke #documentaryphotography #travelphotography #photoarchive by @milosees

When we were young lovers, @lalaik and I spent a magical week of summer in Djerba. Our days were carefree - scuttling from shade to sea under a fiery sun. I can still remember the scrumptious island harissa - unlike any I'd ever tasted before.. As a gift for my love, I wanted to try and recreate that memory. Introducing 'Harem Harissa'. Slow-smoked peppers and spice smashed together into a seductive slurry. Here's to us @lalaik, may we never forget our spicy summer under the Mediterranean sun. 🔥💋🏝🌶 by @milosees
