Thank you @ad_italia for this story on my house. Fun fact…I speak Italian. It was just a party trick for years but I love this country with all my heart. 🇮🇹 ❤️💚 Photos by @jess_isaac Styling by @stellaflynn by @mimishindesign

Thank you to @vogueliving for this feature. There are so many choices to make when designing. I’m trying to share my resources and reasoning for a few of them. 🧡💚 Photography @jess_isaac by @mimishindesign

Favorite moments from my own house. The window was inspired by a convent designed by Corbusier. Thank you @archdigest for featuring @jess_isaac for shooting @stellaflynn for styling @alisalbuilders.corp for building by @mimishindesign

For this sweet little kitchen nook we repurposed leftover marble slab from another part of the house and added wood to the perimeter to soften the edges. We recovered the vintage chairs with Josef Frank florals and the sweet Noguchi light the client wanted was adorned with the perfect little Fortuny tassel. Thank you @casavoguebrasil

PROGRESS REPORT | Behind the scenes at our upcoming Yellowstone project. Most rooms have this epic view and we’re thrilled for another set of clients who love art as much as we do.

The location is a halfway point for New Yorkers and west coasters so an easy flight and scenic drive along the Gallatin River dotted with fly fisherman, mountains with elk and vast skies filled with almost overly dramatic sun and clouds. Nature trying her hardest to show off. by @mimishindesign

PARIS FASHION WEEK | Key takeaways as a fashion editor turned interior designer.

I’m always looking for meaningful changes to silhouette, structure and vibe first. It translates to proportion and attitude. Then on a more literal level, I’m looking at details and color. We’ve been obsessed collectively across both fashion and interiors with passementerie and seriously elaborate details. A lot of these collections look simple, but the in-person details that you would miss scrolling through definitely change the vibe.

Michael Rider at Celine is winning with an American cool that feels like you’re not even trying to be that chic.

Melanie Ward’s influences will forever imprint the work of Nadege Vanhee at Hermès. Discreet bondage.

Mica floating down the runway at Dior with a raw hem and translucent fabrics.

The American boys making a case for edge details at Loewe.

Working hi/low and jewels and athletic wear at Miu Miu.

Tiny elements of vintage at the Row.

The simplicity of the clothes, but capped off by the headpiece that gives me the right vibes for right now. Ghesquiere at Louis Vuitton always feels a few years ahead of whatever else is out there.

God is in the details at Blazy’s Chanel.

I cannot wait for all the low rise again. Silhouette shaping at Chanel.

The perfect Dries look for me.

A perfect end to a seemingly perfect 10 year run from Anthony Vacarello at Saint Laurent. This is when I wish I could have been there. 💛 by @mimishindesign

Little girls' rooms forever. 🩷💚 This piece was designed around a picture window for their home in the Palisades. It was already lovingly built off-site when the fires forced a pivot to a new home. We added a row of additional storage up top and along the sides to make their foot to foot beds work in their new home and sheer pink curtains for privacy away from the toys across the way but also a de facto stage for performances.

So much love and respect for @ullajohnson and her induction to the @bof Class of 2026. Always a trailblazer championing female creatives in their fields, giving voice to the ones who might not be heard and planting trees to make everything as beautiful as her clothes. Love you, girl. by @mimishindesign

In the spring of 2024, I started working on this Palisades home on the beloved Alphabet Streets. Our clients wanted a home that reflected their personal style – cool, chic, understated – for their two young girls and the giant Barbie houses and toys that come with that age.

As the project neared completion, the home tragically burned down in the 2025 Pacific Palisades fire. Our clients were lucky and able to find a new house in LA’s Cheviot Hills neighborhood, but it required work to the house itself and then including elements from the old design as best as we could.

The house was not an easy one to fill quickly since we had to buy basic necessities like silverware, towels and sheets first, but I know they have the bones and the base to fill it anew with the books, the records and art that will make it feel like home.

MILAN FASHION WEEK | For the first time ever, this round up only includes female designers. Women designing for women is sadly uncommon across fashion and interiors. Since we’re not covering Paris, it’s a bit easier since those are the big houses owned by the conglomerates and those jobs are still given to men.

Starting with Prada which is designed in collaboration with Raf, but the skirt is a Miuccia Prada signature.

Anyone remember Jimmy’z surf and skatewear from the 80’s? Grown up version of my dreams

Louise Trotter continuing the obsession with craft that this line has always explored.

Bottega again - but so wearable.

Fendi Maria Grazia Chiuri Genuinely hitting her stride.

Marni- Meryl Rogge. I always wanted to be a Marni girl and she’s making the case for it again. A modern celebration of color in a somewhat more muted palette.

Attico - just a little fun with the Italian party girls.

PS. In New York. Calvin Klein - Veronica Leoni should own minimalism right now but I’m game for this slightly sexier version.

PPS. Khaite opened with what looked like minimalism from afar but ended with full blown romance with those ruffled passamenterie details along jackets and skirts.

Until next season and with love to the Crawford Gerber family. by @mimishindesign

PROGRESS REPORT | We love our repeat clients. She moved away for a few years and was looking for a designer to build her dream house and it was us!

Selects for the “listening room”, which is sure to be favorite of ours.

We also love working with risk taking creative clients.

This guy makes every insane thing we design a reality.

Another giant custom bed.

The first of many pieces to come…

This room will be the one. We cannot wait for the reveal… by @mimishindesign

Wellness has gone far beyond eating your vegetables and getting some exercise. Longevity maxxing now requires saunas, cold plunges and whatever it takes to keep your cortisol in check, so let's make it chic.

The same client who we designed a meditation space for a few years back are now in the process of building out a wellness space with the chicest sauna and cold plunge out back. We designed it based on european swimming cabanas and maybe some of my favorite kids toys. Stripes!

We are also in the process of a wellness space for a mountain house in Montana. Gutting a primary bath to make room for a family sized finnish sauna and custom cold plunge. Totally different vibe - this one looking at the Hotel Couvent sauna in Nice that I raced to see when it opened and the Sant Roch wellness space recently opened in Paris. by @mimishindesign
