Mama, if you’ve been breastfeeding and lately you’ve been feeling more emotional, irritable, exhausted, anxious, or mentally overwhelmed, please give yourself some grace. ❤️

Breastfeeding affects your hormones, including prolactin, which plays an important role in milk production. Hormonal changes, lack of sleep, and the demands of caring for a baby can all affect your mood, energy, and mental well-being.

You’re not lazy. You’re not weak. You’re not being dramatic. And you don’t have to feel guilty for not feeling like yourself.

But remember, mama, you deserve support, too. Don’t automatically blame everything on prolactin. If these feelings persist or become overwhelming, please talk to your healthcare provider.

You’re taking care of your baby, but don’t forget to take care of YOU, too. You matter. 🤎🫶🏽

Back at one of our favorite spots in Dallas… 🥂✨❤️ Mister Charles never disappoints! Good food, beautiful ambiance, and quality time with my favorite person. Some places are just worth coming back to! 🤎🍽️

Mama, you’re not crazy, lazy, or being dramatic. 🥹🤎 Breastfeeding can take so much out of you, physically and emotionally. Between the hormones, sleepless nights, and pouring so much of yourself into your baby, sometimes you forget that YOU need care, too. Give yourself grace, mama. You’re doing better than you think. 🫶🏽🍼

Motherhood was never meant to be a competition. 🤍 Different moms need different kinds of support, and choosing what works for your family doesn’t make you less of a mom. Give yourself permission to get help, rest, and make life a little easier. ✨
