I’ve decided it’s time for my characters to get an upgrade, taking a step back to focus on the details and really get it right this time.

“Fuck em”
I recently decided to take a stab at digital painting again and I am pleasantly surprised with the results. The last time I tried was when I was like 12 (last slide)😭

It also has some 3D elements mixed in as well

And a tailor, a physicist, an animator, a director, the list goes on 🫩😭

I love every second of it though

More practice with 2D hair cards, I’m definitely starting to make progress.

Which color should I do next? by @mind.2.matter

These glasses started as a random sketch inspired by a vintage pair of Chanel frames I thrifted years ago while working at Crossroads. I always got compliments on those, so I wanted to put my own spin on them, and rediscovering the sketch recently turned what should’ve been a quick render into a full-on design project.

I imagined them as futuristic, titanium-framed glasses with a green-tinted lens, kind of this fusion between space age, Y2K, Mirror’s Edge & Final Fantasy vibe.

The shape itself is really organic, no hard edges, just flowing, rounded forms, but there’s still this underlying edge to them. I also pulled inspiration from a barking deer (also called a muntjac deer) because of the little facial holes they have; that detail shows up in the frame design.

They come in two colorways, green & pink, and I included the original sketch at the end to show how far the idea came.
