So many people to tag but I am afraid IG will think it is spam. Lol.

Thank you to every partner, speaker, prize sponsor and attendee who made this possible. Forever grateful for this milestone and hope it opens doors for more conversations and initiatives that help move the mission forward.

If you attended live or virtually, please go to www.perseveringwithpcos.com to fill out the post-event survey, your feedback is important to me and the data will be used in my community action project report 🙏🏽

It’s sometimes hard to take the bad with the good, but it’s necessary.

This life is not an easy one, whether you have PCOS or not, so it is important to stop and take stock of not just the struggles but the triumphs. This year has been one of the HARDEST of my life but also has been one with the most beautiful moments and growth.

It may seem like because of a diagnosis like PCOS, you don’t deserve joy and happiness but I am here to tell you ABSO-EFFING—LUTELY do! Don’t discount your contribution to this world, don’t minimize what you deserve, and ESPECIALLY don’t rob yourselves of the wonderful things this world has to offer.

Signed with MOY love,
Yash

I had the wonderful privilege to chat with Dr. Cindy Duke (@drcindymduke), America’s Only Dual Fertility Doctor and Virologist on Day 1 of the Persevering With PCOS Summit!

She shared important information on PCOS and some common misconceptions and why it needs to be diagnosed by a process of exclusion!

P.S. Did I mention she has some Trinbagonian roots? 😁🇹🇹 ♥️ by @mind_of_yash

During my orientation week with the Community Solutions Program (CSP) @communitysolutionsprogram with @irexinternational , we were asked to choose a postcard that spoke to us. I picked one featuring the Gateway Arch because, at the time, I saw the program as a gateway to beginning a life dedicated to impact - the life I had always dreamed of.

Little did I know that, just two months into the program, on this day last year, I would find myself standing right beneath it!

I had travelled to visit a dear university friend and her wonderful husband, who were kind enough to take me there. Seeing the Arch in person, learning about its construction, and taking in the breathtaking views was such an incredible experience.

But beyond the visit itself, it reminded me of how the choices we make, often guided by a vision for our lives, can lead us to places we once only imagined.

It also reinforced something important: when you have a vision, you cannot afford to hesitate when opportunities arise. Sometimes, the chance to take that step may not always be there. As it turned out, the very next day, the Gateway Arch closed due to the ongoing US government shutdown!

Looking back, the entire CSP experience was a dream in itself. It opened the door to beautiful experiences and opportunities, and I see it as only the beginning.

This year, I’ve been learning to let go of what no longer aligns with who I’m becoming and to recognise that I already have so much of what I need within me to pursue the things I dream of doing. I’m embracing a season of transition, growth, and becoming, and I hope to share more of the behind-the-scenes of this journey with you.

On another note, applications for the 2027 Community Solutions Program are now open! If you’re eligible and feel this opportunity aligns with your vision, I encourage you to apply.

Sometimes, all it takes is a vision, the courage to take the first step, and the willingness to see where it leads.

A few throwbacks to my visit to the Gateway Arch on October 31, 2025. ✨

Going back down

Yep, that tiny person is me! by @mind_of_yash

Usually, today is an exciting day for me. It marks 100 days until Christmas, which has always been one of my favourite countdowns of the year. But today also marks one month since my grandma passed away.

She loved Christmas just as much as I did, so this Christmas season will be especially hard for all of us. But I’m hoping to still celebrate, because I know that’s what she would have wanted.

To know me was to know Grandma.

Hearing all the stories about the ways she impacted her friends, family and community has been so heartwarming. I’ve heard stories I had never heard before, and I’ve been so grateful for every single one of them.

So many of the values I hold today are because of her. Some of my bad habits too, lol. But she shaped me into the person I am. She raised me. I lived with her for almost 40 years…my entire life, she was there.

Trying to navigate this next season of life without her is something I’m still struggling to come to terms with. I know it was a blessing that she lived to almost 89, and she was so full of life even just a week before she passed. But somehow, it still never feels like we had enough time.

And I think losing Grandpa three years ago makes this loss feel even harder. I used to be so proud to say that my grandparents were still alive and well. I was so grateful that they got to meet my children and be part of their lives. Things are different now, and I guess that’s life… but knowing that doesn’t make it any easier.

Grief comes in waves.

Some mornings, I still wake up and think she’s in her room. I remember all the nights I would open her door just to check on her. I remember how she spoiled us right until the very end.

I almost decided not to do my Christmas countdown this year. But I’ve decided I will and this year, I’ll do it in my Grandma’s honour.

She was truly a legend, and I will love her forever. ❤️

100 days until Christmas, Grandma. I hope you’re somewhere enjoying every bit of it. 🎄❤️

P.S. In the first two pics, she is wearing a Christmas broach I got her last year. The last pic is a collage she put together with mostly pics of herself and me (& I think my aunt in the top left pic) by @mind_of_yash

Back on the airwaves and my heart is full! 🎙️🥰

Today on Talk City 91.9 FM, we got to bring much-needed awareness to the PCOS/PMOS movement.

Stepping into the studio again brought back all the excitement from my radio broadcasting training back in 2023/2024…what a special feeling!

Beyond grateful to Nyaka, founder of Lily of the Valley, for letting me tag along and share my story alongside her. The dedication and love she pours into this community is unmatched! 🩵

Seeing my name there… I still can’t quite believe it. 🥹🩵

When you spend so much time advocating for a community, there are moments that remind you just how meaningful the work really is.

This is one of them.

Seeing my name listed as a collaborator in the process behind the name change for PCOS is something I’m genuinely in awe of.

Thanks to the PCOS Awareness Association, I’ve had the honour of being part of the final stage of this process - as a patient, as an advocate, and as someone from the Caribbean.

Having the opportunity to bring a patient perspective and a Caribbean voice into a conversation of this magnitude is something I will never take for granted.

Because this isn’t just a name change.

Words matter. Names matter. Representation matters.

This change represents an important step forward in recognizing the complexity of this condition and the millions of diverse people living with it.

As we begin PCOS/PMOS Awareness Month, I want us to pause and really appreciate the significance of this moment.

I’m grateful to have been included.
Grateful to have been heard.
Grateful to have contributed.
And incredibly proud to have played a small role in a much bigger movement. 🫶🏽

Here’s to continuing to challenge, educate, advocate and make space for every person living with PCOS/PMOS, including voices from the Caribbean and communities that are too often left out of the conversation. 🌎

And that means having more opportunities to connect, learn and advocate together!

🩵 PCOS Con is happening September 26th!

If you’re part of the community - whether you’re a patient, advocate, healthcare professional, researcher, supporter or simply want to learn more - make sure you register at www.pcoscon.org.

PCOS is changing. The conversation is changing. And we get to be part of that change.

Our Real Talk panelists last Sunday definitely understood the assignment!

They opened up completely - sharing their diagnosis stories, navigating invasive and insensitive comments, and exploring how PCOS/PMDD impacts their daily lives and relationships.

Swipe through for some of the most open, honest moments from the conversation. 🎥

A massive thank you to these incredible women for being so vulnerable. These are the stories that absolutely need to be heard! 🩵
