https://givebutter.com/ndngirlsbookmobile

In 2024, NDN Girls Book Club had great success with a similar truck, lovingly nicknamed “Pinky the Rezmobile” by families. Our truck successfully journeyed across the Navajo Nation and Hopi Nation to deliver more than 10,000 free books by Indigenous authors in just 5 days. The truck was a donation for the week, but the experience has stayed with us. Now with increased demand and more places we want to go than ever before, having our own bookmobile will allow us to meet the needs of various communities and continue to grow our reach.

With this next crucial step, Book Club will provide large-scale delivery of free books to tribal communities every year with a permanent bookmobile that sports Book Club’s signature color (pink!) and can carry thousands of brand-new titles, as well as the traveling team. Together, we can further amplify the power of Indigenous stories & literacy!

We have secured a perfect Bookmobile thanks to our vendor, are putting down a retainer fee, and are now finalizing our fundraising! by @ndngirlsbookclub

A helpful roundup for you✨🤞🌧️💘🦋📚 Tag someone you think should see this!! 👀 🫂🙈💕

Have you ever wanted to found & steward a Little Free Library in your own community? Indigenous Little Free Library grant packages exist + are incredible tools for sharing free books, encouraging book trades, and generating excitement around literacy and access. Each Little Free Library can be set up, decorated, customized, designed with a team or group— it’s a lot of fun. You choose the location and tell the story. And you don’t have to be from a nonprofit or school or formal org… collectives and friend groups made up of passionate young leaders have founded Little Free Libraries. Individuals have often enlisted the help of small businesses or collaborated with local organizations, buildings, and more to decide on the best spot to plant and grow their library.

The possibilities are endless 🩵🤞 see www.littlefreelibrary.org/programs, select the Indigenous Library Program to see more and apply, and email them with any questions about the process!

We can’t wait to see what yall grow! 🌧️💘✨💕🎀🤞🦋📚🌧️

Vote Celestine Stadnick for South Dakota Senate District 27 !!!!

I’ve know Celestine for a few years and she’s incredibly intelligent, thoughtful, inspiring, and passionate about community growth. I’m always so fascinated by everything she does for the community and, most importantly, for the youth!!!!

she asks the hard questions and is thought-provoking when it comes to major issues such as data centers being built in SD, LGBTQ+IA2S rights, mental health awareness, suicide prevention, land protection, etc.

it’s always so lovely to cross paths with her <33 truly adore her sense of humour n her big heart n mind! she was campaigning during the fest but she def deserves her own post hehe!

Don’t forget to go out n vote in your community!!! Elmo’s always watching •__• by @ndngirlsbookclub

How it starts💕🥲 We are so thankful for everyone who has been a part of this journey since Book Club was just a dream within each of us. To all who have picked up a book, travelled out for an event, or just love the pink merch like we do, we want to extend our deepest thanks and gratitude. As we move into our fourth official year as an organization led by Native educators & youth, we remain committed to making Indigenous literature more accessible to everyone, uplifting storytellers, and supporting our communities’ literacy dreams. We hope you stay tuned to see what programming we have planned for this year 🫣 and where this 2027’s Book Fest will occur 📚✨💘💕
