“Nerve Cord” — an exploration of flow, form, and feeling.
Created using Sumi Nagashi, the ancient Japanese art of ink-floating.
Ink, water, and paper converge in monochrome contrast—capturing the quiet movement beneath the surface.

Let the current speak.

„Rock of horses“ 2025

The latest work I’ve finished is dry already. Can you see the horse, or what do you imagine seeing this sumi-nagashi painting? Comment below. Thanks for watching.

“Suminagashi & shadow—where water guides the ink, and depth brings it to life. This abstract landscape blends the organic flow of marbling with added contrast and texture. What forms do you see in the patterns?

„Edgeflow“ 2025
Done like all the other paintings before.
30 x 45 cm
200g paper
With the last ones, I painted, I try to break all the unpredictable flow of sumi-nagashi with straight lines and shadows. Adding another dimension. Let me know, what you think about it. Thanks for watching.

“Movement, depth, and harmony—this abstract landscape captures the beauty of flow in monochrome. Simplicity speaks volumes.

Doing the preparations before painting is always a lot of fun and hard to predict, what is coming out of it. I’m very surprised, this time, about the outcome. I should have kept it simple. What do you think?
