Who’s that woman behind @mippies_2.0?
———
Hi! I’m Mip van de Pol – A mom, vintage lover, styling addict, and full-time interior dreamer since I was a little girl. Growing up surrounded by art, antiques, flowers, and great dinners (thanks, mom and dad!), I’ve always had a thing for turning spaces into something stylish, warm, and full of personality.

After 15 years in the jewelry world, I felt the urge to start something new. That’s when Mippies Vintage & Design was born. What began as a small boutique in Arnhem’s creative fashion district has grown into an international go-to for high-end vintage and design.

These days, most of my work is online. I ship globally – especially to the US and across Europe – and collaborate with interior designers, architects, stylists, and creatives who are just as obsessed with beautiful spaces as I am. Since the pandemic, my business has evolved completely. I now work closely with professionals in the interior world who know how to spot that one-of-a-kind piece.

The collection? A carefully curated mix of Mid-Century modern gems, glamorous Hollywood Regency finds, striking lighting, and unique handmade pieces and objects that bring character to any room.

Mippies isn’t just a business – it’s a lifelong passion. We are open every Saturday from 11-17 hour or by appointment during the week.
Be inspired!

There is something unmistakable about the warmth that organic materials bring into a home. Bamboo in particular has a way of softening the edges of any space. A sleek interior can be beautiful, and clean lines have their charm, but every house needs at least one place where natural elements come together. A corner, a room, a quiet transition space where bamboo, wood, fabric and colour create that unmistakable sense of comfort.

True coziness rarely comes from cold materials. It grows from textures you can feel, tones that breathe, surfaces that carry a story.

Bamboo works everywhere. In a bedroom, a hallway, a living room or a sunroom, it adds depth and ease. It brings the warmth back into the home, in the simplest and most effortless way.

ART MEETS VINTAGE

Art and vintage design have a way of bringing out the best in one another. The naïve artwork by Hanneke van de Pol, the sculptural Ekstrøm chair from around the 1980s and the organic bamboo floor lamp from the late 1950s create a combination that feels bold, warm and completely timeless.

The chair is now available and can be upholstered in any colour you wish, from green or purple to red or yellow. The floor lamp is available online. For information about the artwork, dimensions, prices or more original works by Hanneke van de Pol, please DM us.

History meets Mid-Century artistry.

A monumental four-panel ceramic wall relief, inspired by the iconic warrior and processional scenes of the ancient Gundestrup Cauldron.

The metallic copper reduction glaze catches the light beautifully, giving the ceramic surface an almost hand-beaten metal appearance. Framed in a clean wooden surround, this substantial architectural piece has a striking sculptural presence.

An “anonymous” work from the 1960s/70s, measuring 114 × 41 × 6 cm. Powerful, unusual and timeless.

Every home needs a vintage rug.

New in the shop, this cute 60s wool rug, bringing instant warmth, texture and just the right splash of colour. Perfect for a hallway, bedroom, smaller living room or that slightly boring corner that needs a little personality.

Summer days are fading, autumn has arrived, and we’re back in the mood for making home feel cosy again. Vintage, warm and wonderfully funky. Sunday mood 🍂

Almost the weekend. A little less routine, a little more soul.

The shop is looking fresh, with new finds in place. But this Saturday, I’m heading to Amsterdam with friends for Jill Scott, good food and a change of scenery. Time to recharge. I love it.

Closed this Saturday. Back next Saturday, 11am to 7pm. Visits by appointment during the week.

Spotted something you love? Need a beautiful lamp, an unexpected piece or help styling your home? Send us a DM.

Mippies Vintage meets Mippies Jewelry.

Vintage remains at the heart of what I do. I continue sourcing and selling exceptional pieces with the same passion I have always had, whilst building Mippies Jewelry alongside it.

Sometimes one side is busier than the other, but I am finding the right balance and allowing both to grow together in a natural, organic flow.

The vintage & jewelry store is open every Saturday from 11 to 5, by appointment, and online. The beautiful wall tapestry featured here is still available. For details, simply send me a DM.

DEAL OF THE WEEK

We’ve resisted this one for a while — simply because we love it too much. But we finally decided, it’s time for a serious price drop!

This rare green leatherette lounge chair by Italian designer and architect Mario Marenco, presumably designed for The Pace Collection, New York, 1960s, is now in the sale.

A true statement piece with that unmistakable Italian attitude. Sculptural, sophisticated and incredibly hard to find.

Had your eye on it? Deal is 43% off. Now might be the moment. Check online for the new price.

Worldwide shipping available.

Wow… just look at this beauty.

Soon in store.

An exceptional Italian coffee table by Duilio Barnabé, designed in the 1950s. An elegant oval marble top resting on a sculptural cast bronze base. Timeless, refined and in exceptional condition.

A true statement piece for those who appreciate iconic Italian design.

New week, fresh energy. Summer is in the air!

I’ve been mixing new finds with old & sold favorites and a few beautiful pieces just arrived, including vintage and high end design lamps. One special piece is a stunning glass lamp from the 80s with an amazing shade.

More coming this week, I’ll keep you posted. If you really want first pick, Saturday is the day to be there or make an appointment during the week. Please dm us if you see something you like.
