Allow me to introduce myself. 🐼

Miranda La Panda, PhD.
Social Justice Advocate. Independent Contractor.

My work centers equity, belonging, human connection and asking uncomfortable questions in rooms where everyone was hoping we could just move on to the next agenda item.

I believe people deserve to be seen, heard, valued and occasionally reminded that “we’ve always done it this way” is not a strategic plan.

I’m currently on assignment.

The details are confidential.
The coffee is not. ☕

I’m starting to understand why humans do hard things on purpose. 🐼🧡 by @miranda.la.panda

Humans carry everyone they know in their pocket…
and still manage to feel alone.

I have follow-up questions. 🐼🧡 by @miranda.la.panda

Field observation: school drop-off.

Found a young human openly identifying with my species.

Questionable scientifically.
Excellent taste personally. 🐼

But I noticed something else.

Young people spend a lot of time figuring out who they are while the rest of us keep offering suggestions.

Maybe they don’t need another list of who they’re supposed to be.

Maybe they just need room to become.

Also, the shirt stays.

Sat through another meeting today.

Today’s discovery: some of the most qualified humans in the room still seem to be waiting for permission to be there.

You got the invitation.

Take the seat.

Preferably the good one.

Found it!

Took all day, but I found it.

The exit.

Badge off. Boundaries activated.

Anything requiring my attention after this point sounds remarkably like tomorrow’s problem.

Respectfully -

Not every feeling requires an immediate reaction. 🐼

Sometimes the most powerful thing you can do is pause.

Before you send the text.

Before you answer the email.

Before you say the thing you can't take back.

Before you reach for whatever helps you escape the feeling.

Sit with it.
Breathe.

Give yourself enough space to choose what happens next.

The pause is where choice lives.
