POSTS STORIES REELS
NEW ANNOUNCEMENT TODAY! Starting today, I am going to be posting the entirety of my comic Shallow Blade on my Instagram! Check in every Saturday for a new page! Shallow Blade is my longest and favorite comic I've made. It was originally published in one-to-three page chapters every month in the legendary and wonderful No, Nothing Magazine @nonothingmag between 2020 and 2023, and started while I was still in highschool. It was made while surrounded by many other great artists and influences who supported me through it. It's my comic writing at it's best! Except for a few private group chats, this series hasn't been posted or printed anywhere as a completed collection, until now! I hope you all enjoy it :) . . . . . #comics #alternativecomics #manga #shonen #comicart by @mirthfulmarch
Here's what I've been up to the past month: @trashbirddistro asked me to paint this free mini zine library, which is now open! Go find it at @thrift.rx on Center Street in Provo! Anyone is welcome to come take some zines! It's already got more stuff in there than pictured, with plenty of variety! Wanna help the library thrive? You can do so by making zines and donating them, and spreading the word! If you've never made a zine before, don't worry! I'm going to be helping with an "intro to zines" workshop soon, so look forward to that! MAKE ART! BUILD COMMUNITY! GO CHECK IT OUT! #utahartist #zine #comix #downtownprovo #utahmusicscene i love art and i love you by @mirthfulmarch
SHALLOW BLADE SATURDAY! Today's page is the Halloween special! Shallow is not very good at making costumes. I love Halloween and October is my favorite month :) First printed in No Nothing Magazine @nonothingmag back in November 2020 (if I remember correctly I didn't get it done in time for the October issue) Luis is dressed as Luis Diaz @eldiaz_cartoonist 's character Video Witch, which was being printed in the same magazine at the time I LOVE COMICS! #comics #altcomics #halloween #halloweenspecial #manga by @mirthfulmarch

SHALLOW BLADE EPISODE 2! Shallow hangs out with one of her friends and listens to questionable mixtapes. First published in issue 14 of No Nothing Mag, July 2020 @nonothingmag (rip we miss you) The dirty soda and "come follow me" are my Utah roots showing through. Also Jam Guy is based on a kid I knew in highschool who made dubstep remixes and wore bucket hats, he was one of those kids who carried a Bluetooth speaker in the halls. Check in next week for the next page! . . . #dirtysoda #utahmusicscene #comicbooks #manga #comicstrip by @mirthfulmarch
SHALLOW BLADE PAGE 1! Shallow is a girl who loves swords and hates being told what to do! Don't mess with her! Unless you also have a sword First published in issue 13 of No Nothing Mag, June 2020 @nonothingmag (Well actually, this is a 2023 redraw of that page) I love comics! Tell all your friends! Grid Zine Fest is the place to be next week! I'll be tabling, maybe even with a brand new zine? You better be there! If you like my art and want to see more, this is the best place to do it! I post only a fraction of my art online because the internet is weird and has been stressing me out too much lately. Computers are evil, paper is king! Also check out this awesome flyer! I didn't draw it, the ever-talented @thingfromthesky did! . . . . . . #art #magazines #festival #comics #utahart by @mirthfulmarch
I haven't been up for drawing a lot lately, which feels weird, but it also feels like there's more important stuff to concentrate on right now. Anyway, I'm posting some old wip art in the meantime. This one is a panel from an incomplete comic I was doing a few years ago, was gonna be called "Pilewolf", a medieval environmentalist fantasy about a wolf knight who defends nature. I'll get to it eventually. I'll be more excited to write about fictional ecocide after we get serious about stopping the real world burning. . . . . . . #nature #comics #altcomics #furry by @mirthfulmarch
